Vote for the next Battle Report matches! (official)

Good stuff. Blizzard is letting the community pick races for the next Battle Report.

So go ahead and vote.

Also made a little poll. I'm curious what you guys have voted for. I'd personally like to see either a P v P or Z v Z match next time.

All Protoss because I want to find out of they can make it to the Mothership. All Zerg because I want to know if it isn't a Roach spam fest, like many suggested already over the past few months. I'm curious to see if Blizzard has successfully tweaked its (the Roache's) stats to prevent this.

 

Voted Terran vs Protoss.

I'll admit, it's partially because I don't currently care much for the Zerg setup, whereas the new T and P changes, both units and abilities, have shaken up if not outright eliminated nearly all the classic strategies.

Also interested in the new shield mechanics, both with Hardened vs Siege Tanks, and with the Ghost's snipe ability. Versus Terran, the shields seem more polarized than before, either extremely effective or absolutely worthless, depending how the respective sides tech.

 

I was between ZVT & ZvZ..! But I think ZvT would be better..!

Anyways, I picked Zerg vs Zerg. Even though I don't like watching mirror match ups as much as I do with different races, I want to see what kinds of strategies are used in Zerg vs Zerg. In the original, it was basically early expand or early pool, make six to 12 lings and harass or scout, and whoever gets Mutalisks first and doesn't drop the ball with micro wins.

I want to see if this has been changed.

 

Or to say it in other words: we don't want to see it ever again. At least not as the most standard build.

 

A lot of SCLegacy "analysts" (I almost choked ) seem to think it'll all be about Roaches in StarCraft 2. That's another reason I want Zerg vs Zerg.

 

Also voted Terran vs Protoss, for mainly the same reasons as Fenix

Also, between Battle Reports and the handfuls of Korean gameplay videos on Youtube we've seen just about every Zerg unit and their abilities used. Perhaps it's just me, but I've yet to see the Battlecruiser or the Mothership used since their most recent buids.

 

If I hadn't chose Zerg vs Zerg, I would've chosen Zerg vs Protoss because that's the match-up that we haven't seen in Battle Reports.

Er, yes we did. You should really watch the third one then.
However, it's obviously not the most recent build.

The only match type we've yet to see, are the ones with only a single race being used. Well, apart from matches with more then 2 players. I guess we won't see any of those. At least not until beta. It will be interesting to see how the combinations work out this time.

 

On the small chance someone may misunderstand the OP the polll here isn't official (also it appears to be missing ZvP).

ZVZ for me.

1- For the fact that Battlereports are always showing something new as for tactic.

2- Obliges a Zerg to actually WIN a game.

3- I want to see Nydus Worms being used with efficiency.

Maybe that in a ZvZ game we will see the efficientness of the changeling.
But i choose PvP to see a big battle with a lot of T3 units.

 

zerg mirror. I want to see how the path finding / collision mechanics performs with two zergling swarms running into each other. Also how much of a graphical mess that would be.


If blizzard are reading: start both players massing zergling. run them into each other and kill them off as they fight to the death over a high yield expansion. One player takes that expansion, and the two sides tech up differently for the remainder of the match.

 

As if the reports aren't scripted enough yet. ^_^

 

It's not there but I'd vote for ZvP. Because I feel there has not been a lot of zerg info out there and it needs to be shown. And I'd liek to see how the opposite play style of Z and P go up against each other in SC 2.

 

I voted T vs P . I see it has no success. I wanted to see a match in a space map where you only use space ships. Battlecruisers vs Carriers. Who wins ?
