I'm about to get into short film making and would like a decent camera that fits my financial status. I'm a college student so, I'm not that rich, however I would like the best camera I can afford (and yes, serious films I can enter for competitions). Possibly, I would range from about $1000 or below (my family camera just isn't cutting it). Anyone have any suggestions? note: remember, this is for film making, not touring and memory capturing. thanks!
