(For you, GMG) I found a youtube video showing bits of the portrait animations for various units/structures in SC2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scr63qkJeWA&NR=1 In order: Colossus, Marauder, Stalker, Protoss placeholder that we've all seen, Probe, Terran Adjutant, Pylon (god the underside is ugly), Observer, Zealot. The Marauder is good stuff.
Aww, thanks Kaaraa. I like the "special events" that occur in some of them (Marauder lifting helmet, Thor driver going wild with his tongue, etc...). Sadly the one where the Adjutant opens up her face piece is missing. Two I've never seen before: when the Colossus does the scan and when the Probe projects that hologram. I agree that the Pylon portrait is using a weird angle - but does this mean that structures use portraits now? That doesn't make any sense, because if that's the case there's no point in the Adjutant etc. Could that be the portrait for all Protoss buildings? Maybe they didn't find replacement for Aldaris...
Maybe they're mistaken about what the pylon one is? Otherwise there's no point in the protoss advisor. I don't like the stalker one at all.
aldaris got killed in brood war. i believe the new protoss dude from the first gameplay video is the new judicator.
The Pylon is using the Mothership's portrait, since the Mothership has those jewel-like floating decorations orbiting around the crystal. -Psi
Yes, that makes sense if thats meant to be the motherships portrait, although i would've expected a pilot to be the portrait.
lol funny. But the pylon sucks kinda, like a 2.5/5. I dont like it anyways, my favorite has to be the maruader no doubt. i wonder what the Mothership commander would look like
thats scary... although the stalker does, and its portrait in general is too warcraft-y and not robotic enough.
