At this moment in time on Battle.Net, there several games being played on Use Map Settings. Each of these games has names like cat&mouse, cannon def, etc. In the map creator there are only StarCraft realated objects/characters, wouldn't it be great if SC2 had couple unique, non-StarCraft related objects/characters? If there was then people could make a custom game like cat&mouse in the map editor and they would be able to have for example: a mouse character.

I think it will be possible to add custom models like in wc3

In WarCraft 3 you can import custom models, textures, whatever into maps. I'm positive they will have this in StarCraft 2. Really, everyone who hasn't played WarCraft 3 and/or used the map editor, please go here:

because most things that people say "would be really cool" are really cool in WarCraft 3.

    edit: yeah what Meee said

    Spam much?

Something that I just remembered that I hope they fix in this editor is some of the stupid limitations it puts in. Like I wanted a unit to shoot almost straight up but in the regular editor the highest angle is 10 degrees or something really dumb. I know there are the other editors that fix this but it'd be nice if the regular one didn't have these stupid limitations.

From the sound of it the map editor in SC2 will be very open. I imagine that you'll be able to really mess around with things and create your own everything.

I will be making an awesome and fun map when I first get SC2. It will have a good story and good gameplay and will most likely be a micro arena where you can pick some amount of units (probably based on supply) and you fight. And there will be a mode where you have the same units are the other person and the better microer wins.
