Unable to start the game!

    Hi,

    I just bought the digital download of Starcraft 2 for 60 EUR (!!) and it all installed fine but once I launch the game it asks me to create an account, which I already have (My SC2 Battle NET account has ACTIVE status), and the one I type in there wont do anything. The CONNECT button just doesn't do anything.

    So basically I have no ways of playing the game? What is going on? Did I miss anything? :((((((

    There is that GUEST MODE that doesn't allow me to play it either.

    It says I need to be logged in but where is that?

    Most likely your firewall is blocking the game to connect. check it out if it has already been set to allow SC2 to access the internet (Start SC2, click connect and go to your desktop - don't quit the game! Normally it should tell you "allow SC2 to connect.....").

    If this doesnt help or if your unsure about anything: What OS are you using? If Windows, is the firewall enabled? Do you have any additional firewall installed (ZoneAlarm, Kaspersky....)? Connecting via wLan???

    Let me try that. But I did however approve all access as it was asking before. I'll try with the Firewall. Thanks for your suggestions.

    BUT one problem is that CONNECT is grayed out to me :\

    dammit. SOOOOOO easy, didn't think about it: :no:

    When you start starcraft 2, it first askes for your Battle.net account. Since you already have one, you most likley have something like "JohnnyDarko@hotmail.com" - you use this to access to battle.net. DONT FORGET THE "@hotmail.com" (or whatever your email is). "JohnnyDarko" alone won't do. Type in your whole email, then click connect (not longer greyed out), enter your password -> Gratulations, you're logged in to the new Starcraft 2! Enjoy your ride :)

    Sorry for mass messages but my Firewall is allowing Starcraft 2. I just checked. So that can't be the problem.

    I can't seem to find a way to shut down my AVG off, neither to deactivate it.

    Oh man! That works! Man I spent 30 mins waiting on Blizzard phone support and then gave up.

    How can I thank you enough for this help?! :)

    I never post on forums but I had to make an account just to say THANK YOU!! I restarted my computer 100x, was waiting for a reply from blizzard, and basically pulling my hair out to figure why the 'Connect' was grayed out. I don't know why I never tried putting in the email account in the beginning.
