I'm kinda bored man. Pop into the flash chat by clicking "chat" at the top of the page and I'll talk to you in real time. If you don't want to do that, first read my FAQ about what problems you might be having with StarCraft 2... although I somehow think you might have done that already. I'll take a look at this dxdiag in the mean time.

Port forwarding is something that may need to be done if your internet is shared using a router. It forwards IP ports to your computer so StarCraft II can function. If you are on a collage/campus area network.... well, the reason your game might not be working is completely different.

*edit* The problem is probably not your system (unless you are running without a virus scanner). Your drivers look up-to-date on almost everything and your hardware shouldn't have an problem playing StarCraft II.

Thanks I have Eset Smart Security 4.2.53.8 64bit, I have tried disabling the firewall ect, still no luck, when I click to run the game the dialog box comes up saying there's an update, then I click ok, then the screen goes black then loops back the the dialog box.

I have one last idea NomNom. Try running the StarCraft II repair tool. Start=> All Programs => StarCraft II =>StarCraft II - Repair.

If you still have "that" file you told me about installed.. that needs to be restored to its original form.

Okay, a summery of what is going on. Maybe others will have ideas.

He uninstalled his firewall, and this launcher log still shows as posted previously. I have requested he reset his Windows Firewall settings now, just to be on the safe side. NomNom has no problems using bittorrent or other applications. He has made rules in his firewall to allow SC2. His router has all ports forwarded.

I guess you could always try resetting your TCP/IP stack too.

I was just looking around for general information on games not connecting, and found this article on a software called Hamachi that made games stop working. Now, I somehow doubt that you have this exact same piece of software, but it got me to thinking... what applications do you have installed?

Just make a list of the applications you have installed, along with the list of games that work fine online. Might give us more of a starting point.

LOL!!! I found out the problem, I have PeerBlock 1.0.0 (r181) installed and it was blocking the game from connecting to the update server. I should of noticed this in the first place.. Thanks to TheXev for all the help. I have attached a screenshot of the culprit >=\

The updater is working perfectly now after allowing the port/connection to the update server.
