Hey guys. I searched all over the boards and all over the web to see if anyone else is having this problem and so far I haven't found any. Once I put the disc in, I run the installer and a message pops up saying SC2 needs a newer OS to be installed and that I do not meet the minimum system requirements. I'm running Mac OS X 10.6 on a Macbook Pro. I know I meet the minimum requirements, so I was wondering if somebody would be able to help me out. Been waiting too long to play this game for this to be happening
To the above post. That's not nice. If you can't say anything nice, don't speak at all. ************* And to the original poster: Have you checked the software update from the Apple menu? Check it to make sure you are at the latest system. It's 10.6.4 I believe. And that's a very strange issue. Cause I tried to install the game on my imac. Old one with an x1600 ATI for a graphics card. And it worked perfectly fine for me. So not at 10.6.4 could be the reason. ********** Well after reading the instruction booklet it says the minimum OS is 10.5.8 or 10.6.2. So just update to 10.6.4 and you'll be ok .
Thanks so much. I have it installing as I type this. And for the other dude, I don't really play computer games. Starcraft is pretty much the only game I play and my mac is great for everything else I do.
I do play games on my imac. Quite a few of them. But only for really short amounts of time cause of my job. And they all work just fine. So saying Macs are not good for games is just not true. And enjoy playing SC2 .
