Alright alright guys I just made a thread on how Spore had these awesome creations on Starcraft units and I just realized, the different models of dark templar which gives me an idea Anyways so its hard to explain so I'll try and give an example/explanation ok lets say you are going to play as protoss right? So since there was different models how about we get a choice of choosing what type of tribe we want to be. Each tribe may have their own SPECIALTY and type of weapon. What I said type of weapon I mean if its a Dark Templar it still is just with a different looking weapon and prob higher damage (So that would mean that tribe has a higher focus in energy?) I don't know or speed or something. Sorry its kinda hard to explain but I'm trying haha Anyways so lets say if u were Zerg and one type of Zerg uhhh Brood would have their specialty in... Melee attacks? Or Carapace. Its something like that. If your thinking like Warcraft III heroes (Like Rock paper Scissors, I'm not talking about that) Anyways if you have any ideas or suggestions post them. This would GREATLY increase the differences in the game and make it REALLY interesting.
Yeah we get the picture.. its not a bad idea but its something too complicated to apply considering how difficult it already is to balance the game with its current status... that tribal difference you are proposing will only make it more unstable for the game imo.... it works though in single rpg's but not here coz this is not madness... this is STARCRAFT!!
you must have played dawn of war 2.. it had this.. not that its necessarily a bad thing.. but i feel the way it worked in DoW2 is basically the same thing as a color system.. and thats it... Color schemes with fancier names..
Actually I have never played Dawn of war 2 and ya it seems really complicated but pretty cool for the storyline =D
