Twilight Archon now has lame appearance.

I dont know how much damage he deals and how much hp he has.

btw I really liked his old shape that looked like furious glowing living fire and he was hella big like ultralisk.

But now come on...

he looks like small glowing booger or one of tamable pocketmon and he lost detailed texture which was like hundred grains of rice(?)

is it like one of the ways to reduce the system requirement for this game?

And i also want archon to be sort of extream damage dealer, unlike tank, low hp is fine.

With freaking amount of damage, that can cover his low hp (compared to ultralisk) so that he can fight against ultralisk evenly like he did in SC1.

I heard that ultralisk has now 800 hp and deal splash damage as well... then archon is like small worm when compared to ultralisk.

I expected that like twilight archon is improved archon, he should deal more damage than previous one.

well but when u see the vod he cant kill a marine by 1 hit.

sad... i guess no one gonna make archon in sc2 and colossus (i think this ones pretty cool) gonna substitute archon's position.

 

Jon confirmed Archons own Ultrlaisks which is natural since Archons are supposed to be the strongest ground units in gameplay.

Ultralisk has 600hp.

I think the Archon looks fine, I mean it could be a bit better but I have no problem with Archons.

In other SC2 fan site i saw that Twilight archon deals only 25 damage.

No kidding! now archons r like pack of trashes (not really but im mad for the fact that archons not the best fighter anymore).

 

Archons are fine, there's nothing wrong with them. They're the strongest ground units, for one thing. 1 Archon > 1 other unit.

 

There's nothing wrong with their strenght if they can beat an Ultralisk
They do look alot like firelord from warcraft 3 though >.>

 

im comparing old twilight archon with new one(smaller) not the one in SC1.

 

I like the new archons, one thing is just bad:
NO ABILLITIES
How can they make an archon with no abbilites?
A cloaking unit + a spellcaster = A unit without any abbilites
That doesnt work, thats just sucky!

anywyaz...if u look at the new screens, the attack animation is different.

No it does not, it has no abbilites in the "american-build", and has the abbility "power owerwhelming" which gives it +20 splash damage in the "china-build".

Everything is still subjected to change. I bet you that once WWII arrives in June, the game is going to be dramatically different from todays.

 

Yeah, the game is probaly not even in 3d at WWII
But on the other side, its important that we are "worried", because that is the only way we can help Blizzard!

It's not supposed to be the same the original one.. Lol... It's like saying a horse should look the same as a mule...

 

i liked it when the archon had feedback. I wanna see feedback on the archon. I bet they took feedback off the archon because of the queen and mothship since u can only have one. if thats is the reason this makes it hard to balance. This is why SC dosent need hero units.
