It's called Avant Browser. It's got some cool features, though it seems to be built off the IE engine. Kinda funky interface, but still nifty. Give it a whirl if you're interested, or any past experience if you've tried it.
I tried it a long time ago for a day. It was too slow and didn't have anything interesting besides their symbol that caught my attention to keep using it. I switched back to good ol' stable IE until I came across Chrome.
Speed ain't bad, about that of FF without FasterFox. It's got some cool features, but it's biggest ding is the lack of a download manager.
As I said, it was a long time ago. I do distinctly remember it being noticeably slower than whatever version I had of IE back then.
They now advertise being the fastest browser around. Chrome still edges out on speed imo, but this seems more user friendly.
Pfft chrome is the most user-friendly thing around. They even have a comic that explains anything possibly complicated on their website.
I've never managed to set up single letter searching on Chrome. EG: w Cheese will search wikipedia for 'cheese' i ubuntu will search isohunt for ubuntu wh illidan will search WoWhead for Illidan It's pretty much the best thing ever. In addition, I don't care for their about:blank page, in that it shows most visited as opposed to visual bookmarks.
Why would use use Avant? It uses the same layout engine as IE, so it has the same compatibility and security flaws without the sexy interface. I'm not a user of Chrome, I think it's layout is borked, but at least it has a better engine than Trident. I find it odd that you should have to set up something for searching. Opera comes with that function stock, and I think Firefox does too.
