Q&A update(collected from scarmory & sc2pod.com)

We have some updates now from Cavez and Karune following the Zerg announcement, they are here to answer some questions. Below I will quote the question being asked and below it I will post blues answer.

The Queen has to target a Zerg building (that you own) to Deep Tunnel to that location. Since the Overlord does not create a building, you cannot Deep Tunnel to an Overlord that is spreading Creep. (Source)

The Roach shooting air was an error in the tooltip. It doesn't currently shoot air so I don't think it has too much overlap with the Hydralisk. (Source)

No, because the Medic is out for now, heal is currently at the dropship, now named Medivac Dropship. This is for testing purposes and may not last long.

It's the "Medivac Dropship" and it's something we have been playing with for a week or so. If we keep the mechanic, the art will get a going-over.

Here is the thinking:

Question: Reapers are fun and powerful but they are rarely built. Why?
Possible Answer: Since Medics can't keep up with Reapers it's safer and more effective to build more Marines. But a FLYING Medic, now that's something that would be useful with both Marines and Reapers.

Issue: Medics aren't something an enemy player can effectively counter. If you have a bunch of Medics then you are just harder to kill.
Possible Solve: Make the healing unit into a larger vehicle that can be effectively targeted.

There are a ton of issues that might kill this idea. Your heal is now much later in the game, the Terrans are even more air mobile now, etc. So far this one has been somewhat successful in our playtests, but we will see where it ultimately goes. Think about what it will do to and for gameplay and post your thoughts.=)

Remember that what you are hearing about is a "snap shot" of our game. The build that a few folks have had the chance to play was made last Thursday and it has ALREADY changed in a number of key ways (Zerg Base Defenses are no longer 1x1 for instance).

So basically we would love to hear your thoughts, but try not to freak out too much if you see something that bothers you. Things change a lot around here.=)

They cannot attack air.

There are now high-yield minerals on the map, which are yellow in color and offer greater stores of resources than the blue kind.

There are also destructible obstacles such as rocks now blocking many choke points; you can attack and demolish these roadblocks, but they take a lot of work to get rid of.(or antigravity them ) Similarly, there will be other obstacles like trees and shrubs that will block your line of sight, which lets units hide behind them.

Lastly, we noticed a few of the new xel'naga observation towers, which you can activate by touching with a single unit. These will give you a big radius of sight around them while active, though they'll shut down once you move your unit away.

It starts to download about once every five refreshes and I can't use Flashgot. When it does start, it caps at 50kb/s.

Why host something if you're not willing to actually give it to anyone? (directed at the site)

i downloaded them long ago and i have to say 2 comments:

1)the quality is perfect and many details beatyfull things are able to be spoted easier now than ever and also terrible thinks too (i love the Corraptor animation, Matrix sentinel, i hate Lurker unit, and the very good balance with the Visual Effects in battle & gameplay clearness! as the art lead disigner said to his interview at gamespot, now its easier and almost perfect to spot units, and have great effect at the same time!)

2)this will not be imo the Zerg gameplay video Blizzard Entartainment will release int there official site..why? cause there is no narative, its only 9 min and there is not Zerg UserInterface!
we saw ALL those in the Prottoss and Terran Gampley videos that made the package More complete!

gamespy resolution was 320 thats not HD they named it HD to sell it...
and they had splited to smaller parts 10...
this is pure 720p single file, if you download it you will see the Huge difference

what bothers me is that the voice in zerg cinematic its from the actor that did Rashagall, but i read at gamespot and they said (not sure if Blizzard said that) that this was Kerrigans Voice....
i dont know but i would like to see this sory Rashagall's-DNS/RNA was manipullated for Zerg Hybrids!

i hope we will get some answers from the legend_X talking to Blizzard stuff right now

anyone else notice after watching the HD version that the queen in the end looks like an in-game model and not a cinematic quality model? WoW cinimatics have this beat, hell, WC3 cinematics beat this.
