Thanks. Worked on it for two days. ;D Pretty impressive, but it wasnt very well mixed though. Good song overall and the videosync gave it some extra punch. ;D
Did u actually record the guitar riffs and all? what program are you using to record? Or do you have a recording studio?
I used only my computer and an external soundcard. the following software is what i used. Guitars were "Axeslash's 2006 Guitar Pack" (yes, they're fake. real guitar sampled for each note in power chord, single note, power mute and single mute + tremolo) The bassguitar is called "Stingray bass pack" and is just a bunch of wavs basically, just like the guitars. The rest is VST instruments. VST is an abbreviation for Virtual Studio Technology. The drumkit VST is called "Superior Drummer 2.0" and weighs in at about 18 gigabytes in size. The orchestrals were from "EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold" which is about 16gb in size. the synths are "ReFX Vanguard 1.8". only about maybe 5-10 mb. synths are sweet that way ;D everything was sequenced in Renoise 1.9.1, a viciously excellent music production software. the song was mastered in Adobe Audition 3. thats about it. ;D and btw, ive probably got about 250gbs worth of VSTs. ;D edit: forgot about the effect/mix/mastering plugins Warp FX for alternative distortion (good for giving the same guitar two separate sounds) Izotope Trash for pod simulation (guitars mainly) Izotope Ozone for pre mixing/mastering aaand a bunch of other stuff youre not really interested in. ;D
thought you might want to hear my current major project that utilizes most of my resources Ultima Eternus | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | (parts 4 and 5 arent finished yet and part 2 is going to be recomposed completely.) I'll make an extended version of "The Swarm" as soon as the competition is over.
