Okay i've played terran+protoss a lot but i can't seem to get into the zerg any tips on how to use them and how do u stop a mmm attack when your zerg because it seems that you can get them out so fast whilst zerg have to get to teir 3 to get anti-air and by the time you have hydra's they have already dropped troops at your base.

    thanks for any help

It's all about the scouting and map control man. Use your overlords and position them strategically around your base (at the entrance, choke points, around the edges of your base so you can see medivac drops coming in). Make a couple zerglings and send just 1 to each Zel Naga watchtower, or make some more zerglings and see what you can do to your enemy to harass and scout at the same time. You could even sacrifice an overlord and just send it right into his base to quickly see what's going on (overlord speed upgrade is a must for this). Doing these simple things allows you to predict and know when the enemy is coming to attack you.

And since when is zerg anti air tier 3? You can get hydralisks and mutalisks all with a Lair, pretty fast too if you aren't forced to make a lot of zerglings early on because of harassment. If you're really worried about air drops or cloaked banshee rushes, keep a couple of Queens at your main hatch and an overseer if you have a lair. However, if you scout properly and see early Starports with tech labs or early Stargates, you'll probably wanna throw down an evolution chamber and put up a few Spore Crawlers for detection and AA. Also, if he's spent that much time and resources into high-tech units, if his rush rails, immediately counter attack him as best and as fast as you can.

learn how to create creep. this really helps your base defense since your units move faster on the creep. plus you can block expansions if you create creep on them.

also learn how to use your queen properly. you should always be using her abilites to create more lings as much as possible just like protoss use chrono boost as much as possible.

Banelings will take out mmm. Use some speed lings to cover so they reach their targets. If you have a good idea where he is going to drop you can also burrow some their as landmines.

Alternatively, Mutas are tier 2 and you should be able to have some to try and intercept their medicvacs before an mm drop.

I'd say MMM should be countered by banelings, hydras and roaches. Zerglings will just get rocked, even if they have a few upgrades, unless they are in mass numbers.

Roaches will help break through the armor of the marauders while banelings and hydras will break down units one by one, and hydras of course can assault the medivacs to keep your units from losing due to enemy units being healed or taken out of battle.

    Just my 2 cents.

You can check out some videos of a korean player named check, where he totally destroys MMM balls,by skillful players. He uses mainly zerglings,banelings,2nd expansion and mutalisks some times for harassment.

    BANELINGS ZOMG!

you can turn the tides of the game around in a matter of seconds. Gotta love dropping banelings with your overlords... just like a stealth bomber minus the stealth lol
