okay, post here some ideas of what you want to be placed in SC2 that came from other games, major or minor

me, id only like to add a few minor things

first off, the uber ALT button of warcraft - in wc3, if you press the ALT button while in game, it will display the health status of ALL the units and buildings in the screen, allowing for more tactical strikes

example: two marines, one is 100% health and one is 15%, if you only have a zealot that is wounded or something and attack the marines, it would be best if you killed the 15% health marine first than the 100%, and the easiest way to identify which is which by just pressing the ALT button

and secondly, the waypoint selection of C&C red alert - in RA, you have a thing called a rally point button that when you hold that button (or click) while you selected a unit or group, you can command them in different ways like:

specific patrol: click the areas that you want the unit to patrol, like draw a big circle around your base and back to the first point, and the unit will roam around in the path of the waypoints

tactical strike: waypoints wont be executed when the waypoint button isn't released yet. lets say you were attacking and want specific units to attack specific targets at the same time, so what you do is select a unit and click to where you want to attack it to, select another unit and click it to his target and etc. and when finished, release the waypoint button and watch the graceful, coordinated attacks of your units.

    so any other ideas?

you can already do waypoints in sc just hold shift whilst issuing commands. I think it is shift, if might be Ctrl.

No they execute commands immediately after the last one is finished.

Aircraft movement from Total Annihilation. For such an old game the movement is quite realistic.

I would mind there being some simple command system for co-ordinating attacks, without having to constantly micro. I know some people feel that this would take the skill out the game, but it could be there for those of us who are not quite as skilled, while still leaving plenty of room for micro-ing skill.

I like the coordinated attack idea.

You make a unit attack a certain spot and than you do that with several squads, and you press a release button making all those units attack their targets at the same time.

Yep, quieing orders are implemented even in SC1 by pressing shift. It works very similar to RA's "tactical strike" although I like the idea of Blizzard implementing the waypoint patrol.

What I'd like to do is have a few secrets, like hidden items or the like in the missions. Or maybe by beating a mission in a certain amount of time or with little unit losses etc. I think there should be unlockable content in the game earned by doing or finding these things. I think they should be things like development screen shots and unit models. Well pics of such. Maybe the cheats could ala SC 1 but could only be used when you've earned them. I think this'd add reply value to the game.
