So i bought the game after release (from Gamestop) and tried logging in after registering the game. I get this error when trying to connect "There is a temporary outage with the Battle.net system. Please try again later." Someone tell me whats going on. I've been in the beta since day one, never did this to me. Now, after 12 years of waiting, i can't play this crap. Any advice on what to do?? I emailed tech support, nothing yet.. and I know they wont do sh*t, so i made an account here to inquire on this issue. Im in Canada, region: NA. Also, I used up my geust pass and it worked (so its NOT my computer). Now my geust passes are all used up.... and I wanna play the dam game i payed $120 for. What should i do?? Thanks people
Actually, i've been trying every hour since yesterday at midnight. That is definetly not the issue. Thanks anyway
With those anticipation on this game, the server are expected to be overload. but They don't know how many 'bytes' and bandwidth it could stand. I guess the person who are near the server or the mirror are the lucky ones who get through this problem.
I don't think he's being locked out. I think his authorization and key process are messed up. How did you apply the free play passes? Does your Battle.net account management indicate that your game copy is active or does it say "Queued"?
Thank you, i was hoping someone like you would help me out I applied the free play passes through an old email i had. Im sure that my current email is not corrupt somehow, because i have been playing the beta with that email ever since its release. As for the registered status, the game is active: Account Name SCII-1 Account Status Active Product Level Wings of Liberty Region North America (NA) What to do?? ughhh
I'm getting this same issue. This is BS. Blizzard made one post about it (http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/106470833?page=1) where the fix DOES NOT WORK. No update and it's been nearly two days. Tech support line of course busy busy busy. I'm actually very disappointed in Blizzard. Even a "we're working the problem" would be nice. AHHH I JUST WANT TO PLAY STARCRAFT 2!
I've ran into the same problem. I even waited for on the phone for 1 hour to call tech support. Their answers: Our online battle.net accounts are registered in a different region (European, Asia, etc) and the our accounts are not registered in the US. So the US version of SC2 does not work with the other regions. There is NOTHING they can do on their end. They cannot delete the account so you can create a new US account, they cannot switch your region to US, they basically cannot do anything for you at this moment. They are "aware of the situation" and the best thing you can do is wait. My solution: I'm guessing this will take weeks. Here are the choices 1) In the mean time, use your guest passes to play. 2) If you have purchased your game at a store (i.e. Best Buy, etc.), then exchange your SC2 for a new one and create a NEW US ACCOUNT. This can be hard cause SC2 is virtually sold out almost everywhere. 3) if you order the digital SC2, ask for a refund and repurchase. 4) Wait it out
This is absolutely unacceptable. Still no response on the Blizzard forums about this. Still no response to my e-mail. Still unable to frickin get into the stupid call queue for tech support. I don't understand what is so hard about deleting a Battlenet account so customers could simply create a new one and re-authorize Starcraft 2. I'm extremely angry right now. AT LEAST UPDATE THE BLIZZARD TECH SUPPORT THREAD BLIZZARD! It's 12 pages right now with no new blue post. Ridiculous. And how ironic that only players with working games can even post on that... EDIT - I decided to try calling billing in order to delete my battlenet account and start fresh. Of course, those phone lines are busy too. I can't believe how poor Blizzard's overall customer service has been for this. Yeah I know it's only a couple days after a major release, but come on can't they get more people on the phones or something? Lord knows they're making enough money. **UPDATE 8/2** Finally got through to tech support. It appears the only solution right now is to create a new battlenet account, then call Blizzard and get them to transfer the game to the new account. So if anybody is still having this problem, that is how to solve it. **END UPDATE**
