So after watching the Zerg video that was just released, I saw something that looked very familiar in the sky. After the video finished, I had to look back to see what about the white planet in the sky was so familiar at the end of the video. After pausing it and looking for a moment, I noticed that the grey streak across the middle looked like Valles Marineris--the largest canyon on Mars. A little research showed that it seems to be so:

Clever image editing, Blizzard. Very clever. And before anyone thinks I'm speculating anything, I don't think that our solar system has anything to do with the plot of the game. I just happened to notice that planet was an edit of Mars.

Why would you say lazy? Its not like it takes alot of work to make the surface of a planet. Well i guess it would take alot of work but not a computer image. I'm sure if they did notice that it was just for fun.

I really can't imagine organisms such as humans living on a planet which is pretty much molten larva everywhere and is full of poisonous gasses.

Water is native to our environment and we are dependant on it for life. Why would you wanna colonize a planet and be forced to live in pretty much tanks for the rest of your lifes.
Venus also has extreme pressure, more pressure than under water. Or is that mercury?

But maybe the mars in the Blizzard video is a hint of things to come in the story ;];];]

Ya mabey. But we cant live in water naturally either. Its just two different ways that we would die. Plus i bet theres good mining on venus.

actually, its only venus's climate thats making things look bad, if all that carbon dioxide was turned into ozone and oxygen, the molten lava at its surface would disappear because of the cooler temperatures as carbon dioxide traps heat and etc... you know the rest

Venus used to be almost EXACTLY like Earth. It's what will happen if the greenhouse effect gets out of hand.

thats why it is possible, its just that the job will be harder to do to colonize and infest

True but you cant blame the greenhouse effect for that. The sun just grew to big and got to close to it. Well at least i think so. I ain't no astronamer.

hmm.. i wonder what kinda of chemistry trick we could use to remove some of the carbon dioxides... i even had a dream where people used a bacteria that can break down carbon dioxide to use the carbon for energy lol
