The Unofficial 'Bad Game' Thread

Instead of clogging the forums, you can complain about bad teammates/games you've played here.


I'll start.

About five minutes ago I played a coop game as Zerg and my teammate was Terran. We fought 2 Terrans. I quickly built up a small force of Zerglings and Roaches while my friend blockaded the single ramp with a Barracks and two Supply Depots.

Soon after I upgraded my Hatchery to a Lair, we got attacked by enemy Marines/Marauders. I attacked with my underlings, killed about 8 guys (out of roughly 18), then lost them all to the computer's godlike Micro skills.

Then I realized my Terran friend decided to waste ALL his time to tehcing up to a Factory.....Without building an army.

That's right, he spent ALL his resources on a few SCVs, two barracks and a factory. that's it. Only 2 marines were present when the attack came, and they did jack Sh*t against the enemy force. What the hell was that?

 

I'm back from a good 5 games of co-op myself. It seems there are lots of newbies wanting a free ride to their achievements.

One noteworthy game was a couple of hours ago where the two Protoss thought it'd be wise to turtle with ~5 cannons and tech to void rays. It's annoying, but I get what I deserve for playing with random people.

 

You should play with me. I'm somewhat capable ^^

 

guys when you play coop for the win why dont you just cannon-rush? its the easiest and fastest way to kill them with...
thats what i do when i only think about winning... and it somehow worked in a real 3v3 last time i tried it out xD
i just love when they ragequit cause of a couple cannons at their base
EDIT: now when i think of it... cannon-rush really is a gay strategy -.-

 

Because you can't always be Protoss. There's the random command, then the race combos, etc. Plus it's gay. Plus I like to make the most of games against the AI in that I'll practice. Protoss, for example, because I'd like a 2nd race (for more achievement points ). As well as Zerg... practice makes perfect and even an AI will get you to pay attention to increasingly more things. So yeah, practice with nothing to lose (except when you're attempting the winning streaks ).

 

Yeah. Cannon rushing doesn't always work online, and coop is a good way to practice without worrying about losing your place in your division.

It's sometimes your own fault for not managing your teammates well enough.
But this can only hold true until a certain point, i understand.

Love it when noobs go "stfu! lmao umad! trololololol"

 

I also love it when people tech up to Siege Tanks/Battlecruisers using their minerals only to expand or build workers and building nothing else.

A zerg guy did that in a FFA match yesterday. I assumed he was teching up to Brood Lords or Ultralisks or something like that because he had about 30 workers, 6 or 7 Overlords, and he was evoloving his lair into a Hive. He had NO zerglings NO roaches NO nothing,

As soon as I went to attack him with stalkers and Immortals, I got Void Ray'd.

also, does anyone know where to find a 'Terran Player' badge thingy like I've got (for protoss and zerg).

I hope you realize that those two badges were most likely Photoshopped (meaning it's an original artwork). Ask the person you stole it from to make you one.

I finally found a good teammate!

We lost our second game, but I dropped a nuke worth 40 marines and 5 SCVs (and a command centre!)
