The undead of "Resident Evil" still have plenty of life in them.

"Resident Evil: Extinction," with Milla Jovovich again fighting flesh-hungry zombies in the third installment based on the video game, opened as the No. 1 weekend flick with $24 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates Sunday.
It was the best debut for the franchise, topping the $23 million debut of part two, 2004's "Resident Evil: Apocalypse."
Sony Screen Gems hinted there could be more "Resident Evil" movies, though the latest had been billed as the final one.
"Until the next," joked Rory Bruer, Sony's head of distribution. "It absolutely would not surprise me considering the success of the franchise that they find a way to come up with another. It's a real possibility."

It's finally out! I love zombies! I can't wait to see it. ;D

Resident Evil has got to be one of the best undead/zombie flick ever.

And considering they created the first one with a tiny budget makes it even better.

I can't wait untill the 3rd one hits the box office in aus.

Im still hopping that they make a movie based off the game Resident Evil 4. BEST CONSOLE GAME EVER w00t!

 

vampires are much better, zombies are cool, but vampires are better

yes i will watch it, not the biggest zombie or resident evil fan

I have to say that most movie adaptations of video games generally suck (E.G. Dead or Alive... WTF?!) and the Resident Evil movie series thus far is no exception. Besides the point, I have yet to watch this third installment, so it may change my opinion.

If it party's like a rock... party's like a rock star... I'll post up again.

I do have this to say, the Resident Evil game franchise eats other Zombie games brains.

 

You'll surely change your mind when you see this movie.

 

Mortal Combat was even worse than Dead or Alive

 

I've saw the trailer. I almost cried.

Jovovich has seriously the worst acting "skills" I've ever seen.

 

Dawn of the Dead is by far the best of all the Zombie movies.

It generally stuck to what could be termed as believeableness.

Don't watch the second one though. It's stupid. Zombie's with guns????

DotD was the first Zombie movie to have them actually move at normal human speeds or faster.

Ending is kinda depressing though...

 

Resident Evil: Apocalypse was HORRIBLE!!! it was worse than the first one

By the way i thought Mortal Kombat was better than Dead or Alive (i don't play MK anymore!! i have stopped playing it from last year )

 

ok DOA is one of the worst movies ever, MK was soooo much better. Second, the third RE wasnt that good. I watched it in Russian last night on the internet, and that didnt make any difference, the fight scenes arent even as cool as the second movie. The first is still by far the best.

 

Yeah the first RE is still the best but i'm not sure about the third since i haven't watched it, and looking at DOA easily looks rubbish to me and cheesy, whoever directed the film had made a bad idea

Um...Yea but it has one of the coolest action scenes in there ^_^

The Scorpion fight and Reptile fight was the best in the movie (the first movie)

 

And i suppose you could do better?

As for MK i foudn that movie so annoying, it had 1 cool action scene but that's it, could just go watch in on youtube for free rather than paying $30-$40 for an entire movie of crap.

I wonder if they'll ever make a movie of super mario.... or Pacman

Resident Evil:Extinction was a very nice movie but i noticed all the zombies look SO much alike......that than that A+
