Okay, so with what we have seen what race is already looking out to be the best race?

Best race in what sense? They will all end up equally strong, so it's just a matter of which mechanics, visuals and style you like the most.

Yes, that is true the question can be very vague, but what races will have the better advantages over the others? And how will your skills affect and work with this.

They're going to be balanced...They'll all have pros and cons. It'll be up to the players to choose which strengths to utilize and which weaknesses to exploit

    @Funkymonkey.
I think it simply comes down to what race you like to play the most. There's a big difference in playstyle and offered strategies when you play the three different races in SC1. Zerg for instance is the fastest, most versatile race. If you like that, go for them. If you don't, maybe you'll like Terran or Protoss better.

But I'd wait for the beta if I were you.

They've all be redesigned from basically the ground up.

Also, don't double post. There's a button that says 'Edit" at the bottom of your post, use it

Short, one word posts are also considered spammy.

Not trying to offend you or whatever, just keeping things clean

What Fenix says; they are all getting redesigned. Currently, I'd say that Protoss got most of the "stuff" though, but that's because Blizzard have worked the longest on them. Zerg, in contrary, are seeing the most old units return, but the Zerg have gotten the least attention up until now.

But anyways, the final product will future 3 balanced, yet very different races that have gotten almost equal amounts of redesign and innovation.

    Thanks Fenix forgot.

Gasmask and Fenix your points do make the most sense, is there any update on the zerg "thor or mothership" besides the ultralisk, or would that be considered the ultimate.

No race has an "ultimate" unit in the sense that you are thinking of. Not to mention that since this is Starcraft, Blizzard isn't just going to give equivalent units across the board to directly counter the Motherships/Thors/etc. (Mothership is the closest thing that could be considered "ultimate" now but even then it's a stretch, and the Thor is definitely not in that same category).

I see what you are saying, however what i am saying is a unit that if you saw in gameplay you would want to destroy, or use, a vital unit.

The only one I can think of for that would be the new Queen. It's essentially THE Zerg base defense. You can live without it, but you won't last long.

Haha I see any enemy unit I'd like to destroy it. Although of course priority would be assigned to casters and damage dealers - both of which the Zerg seem to have plenty (Queen, Infestor, Ultralisk to name a few).

All units are vital in certain situations funkymonkey. Vikings counter air for instance, mainly capital ships. If there's lots of big enemy ships, they will be very vital, if not, they will not be that vital, simple as that.
An Ultralisk might look scary at a first look but if you have Swarm Guardians/Banshee's/Warp Rays, they would do little harm.

All very good points, what race will dominate in early game?

It's not the race that settles that but the player. ;) Although looking at the current build, I'd say that the Terrans will not. They need to wall off their ramp/choke real quick and tech to something, while Protoss and Zerg might be able to fight very well with just Zealots/Stalkers and Zerglings/Roaches.

Yea, i agree however in the first one the terran did not do well either, I think it will definatly be between the zerg and protoss.

i don't care, even if the terran is way too weak, i am going to play as them as i have always enjoyed their playstyle and their ability to build a secondary base much quicker using the liftoff and land. Plus, i see a lot of possible combinations of troops like the vikings in one corner of the base with banshees and thor on the other. and, surprisingly, i like the new thor as it is faster, and has the auto repair. So it does not matter what the other races get, i will not join the bandwagon, which seems currently with the zerg.
P.S. i will try the other races

Yea, i see i lot of zerg, but before i pledge my alligence to any certain race i will be trying all of them out.

  20. The people who have played the current build, and the developrs say that currently the Protoss is the "best". But, in the end, if it is to follow the original, the balance between the three races will be ... PUUURRRRFECT! *Overmind voice*

The Zerg, however, are said to be by far the weakest.
