The secret art of Halo Swords

I am looking for someone out there that can teach me how to properly use swords. (In words obviously).

Do i need some type of timing? Press melee or right trigger when I see the glow of their visors? What is it

 

You press the right trigger when the aiming thing turns red and you'll charge forward for an instant kill. Or you could press melee and you'll just swing it normally.

 

It helps if you jump around a lot while using them, as it's harder for them (With a gun) to draw a bead on you before you're close enough to kill.

 

A neat trick in a sword duel is to use the 'B' button to hit after parrying with an enemy; it hits faster than the normal lunge and usually gives a kill ^^.

 

Ok, what I usually do is Lunge+B+B but the thing is is that I can't do that every single time. I did it to my mate once and he figured it out after 10 kills.

 

Can you dodge a sword lunge if you tilt away from the hand your opponent is holding the sword? Say if someone is coming up you straight ahead and he's holding the sword in his right hand and you slowly tilt to the left, I think it worked in Halo 2

 

Far as I know it does work, but it's rather risky and hard to pull off so you'll be better off sidestepping quickly or killing them with a shotgun/any other close range weapon.

 

Hey I know this isn't helping ShasOkais, but Me and a friend were playing Slayer, and we both charged at don't have a ammo limit or energy limit, so is each other with swords, and we crashed, our shields went out and we went flying back super fast (Up in the air a bit too), but when we did it a weird sound came up, it also made the sword disappear for a second and came back. Swords in multi-player (Not campaign) do not have an energy limit. Is that a glitch?

 

Also another tip is to not get your energy sword out until you're in range. The energy sword is very easy to spot and you'll be a flashing beacon for snipers. Instead have a gun out an soften them up as you're closing in just in case. Also if the opponent has a shotgun you'll want to wait for him to fire a shot and then hit him. I suggest you slow down abruptly as you approach the player. And while he's waiting for the next shot to be ready, hit him fast with a lunge.

Right. On pretty much any map you'll stand out with such colors. Unless you're being sniper bait or something, don't do it.

 

what are your gamertags? btw i like to change my colour according to the map, but i mostly go dark and stay indoors. Otherwise, in a light environment, i like to play around and go pink

 

Lol, Has anyone ever got the Hyubusa armour? I have it was quite easy. There is also a forage glitch where if its lagy, and your Guilty Spark, you can hold a weapon with unlimited ammo boost around shooting people its quite fun (I don't have Halo live well Xbox Live, but I tried it over my friends house) Tell me if anyone know show to do it properly, I did it by accident, and people thought I was teh H4X0R

no i don't have katana armor cause i don't have all of the achievements yet, but my friend does

 

Oh coool Have you gotten the Marathon man achievement yet? Its quite hard to find all the Monitor things, I think I missed like 2 of them.
