So, if there is one unit I don't think will change much if at all it would be the Overlord. It's essential to the zerg for not only unit limit but as a transport and detector. Still, is there anything anyone would change about it? You never know, someone could have something crazy sweet to add to it.

I think the Overlord should be made to be more Phallic. I think the Zerg need more Phallic units, in order to contest the masculinity of the Terran and Protoss. (Those Siege tanks really make alot of units insecure)

The mutalisk and devourer are phallic enough.

I wouldn't change the overlord at all. But I'm sure they will.

I just don't know what they could possibly do with it. Maybe they'll make it able to defend itself...?

I think their functionality is pretty good as is. Maybe start with the sight upgrade, and have a new redesigned look that makes look less like a deep sea jellyfish with a giant brain attached to it?

EDIT- Also since the Overmind has been destroyed, the Overlords may have gone with it. Maybe their will be new structural command structures that give out unit supply that are somehow controlled by Kerrigan..

I'm always up for change. If the Overlord were removed from the game I wouldn't shed a tear or anything. I just don't see how they could remove it considering how much it does.

Have them be able to attach to the creep using their tentacles and have that give them a huge regeneration bonus cause they are drawing power from the creep.

hey that's actually pretty cool. not for the regeneration thing but to turn it into an immobile ground unit stance....avoid those damn AA air rushes!

Seeing how Kerrigan always has few at her side, I doubt that's the case.

Nonsens, Overlords and Queens (story only, not in gameplay) connected the broods with the collective mind, and it doesn't matter if thats the overminds will or kerrigans will.

Giving the overlord spells would be bad because people get so many of them anyways

Yeah man, and while were at it, let them spit yamato and poo nukes.

Seriously, combining the Overlord and Queen would be a very dumb idea.

    Canada, eh?
Overlords should be able to slice up and "load" Creep that could be dropped for building on.

Terran Player: Why is there a Hydralisk den next to my Supply Depot?
Protoss: Dunno, I'll get it if you explain the Queen's Nest outside my base.

The Overlord is best left alone (with the exception of a improved look.) Remember the saying. Leave well enough alone.

or... Don't fix if it ain't broke.

yea the Overlord should be left alone. I see no reason to change it other than improved look. I mean its already 3 for 1 in terms of capabilities.

I think overlords are great as they are. You need to build tons of them to manage your army, and they have 2 great abilities as a bonus. Sure as hell beats the supply depots.

Overlords are fine as they are. Give the Zerg a scouting advantage in the begin game, but make them susceptible to crippling air assaults on the buggers... Really adds an extra strategy element.

Overlord is the single unit in the game that you can create without limit (yes there's spider mines and such but they require units to build which are limited). Because of this they can be quite imba if you give them any active form of functionality that has anything to do with numbers. Already in large money maps one side could attempt to max the map simply by massing overlords after building early. Changing a unit without the limit imposed on every other unit in the game just might have unforeseen consequences.
