"NASA will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 2, to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life." http://www.nasa.gov/home/hqnews/2010/nov/HQ_M10-167_Astrobiology.html So who thinks we'll finally get some real info about our new alien overlords?
I'll take anything, as long as it's alive. Would be about time they found something with those billions being invested into it.
I think it's pretty freaking fantastic. Far better than extraterrestrial life imo, because afaiknew, they would most likely be carbon based like us. Another biological base (and arsenic too... lol) is incredible. Like drie said, this is really really big. EDIT: The IO9 article talks about basically gas with an arsenic base... Somehow that seems like a REALLY bad idea.
