i dont like how they redesigned the hydralisk, they not only changed some of its physical features but its most notable is its jaw... is it really warcraft in space now?

the new hydralisk has orc teeth, the old one had another row, or just one row of a split jaw, i like that old one better, what do you guys think.

Agreed 100%. The old jaw was interesting, adding the big teeth just detracts from it. They need to stop adding spikes to EVERYTHING.

I like the spikes. Makes it look more menacing.

But I agree, they need the old jaw back. The large teeth look out of place.

The tusks on the hydralisk arn't even used for burrowing (not even the scythe arms do that).

    I wouldn't miss the tusk...

Tier 3 for the hydra seems a little silly. What are its stats currently?

Any special abilities besides the morphing to a lurker?

Wow they even gave it a humanoid jaw excluding the pertrusions on the sides.

It also looks way to colourful. It says Hydralisks like to ambush their victims and stuff, an ambush predator would be dark and gritty to blend in with the suroundings.

Its attack looks ugly too. The green acid was much more pleasing.

The only thing I have a problem is the colouration and its face. I wish it looked similar to its cinematic model that was so amazing:

Bring back our hydralisk! I do like some aspects of the new look, but the jaw needs to be returned to normal.

The Hydralisk's head should be pointier, like it is in all of SC2 concept art. I like the splitting jaw, but they need to make the fangs much smaller. And they DEFINITELY need a better attack animation. I don't want the most menacing and sadistic of zerg warrior breeds to be doing the breast stroke while he attacks.

I do think that blizz is getting a bit spike crazy on the zerg but isn't this what we asked for. We keep on complaining about how the graphics look to cartoony because every thing is so smooth. In SC1 they looked realistic because things had sharp corners if they take away the spikes now we will have a goofy flat backed hydralisk.

maybe they could take the spikes off the tail they do seem out of place there.

    Yeah they did.

It wasn't the sleek looks that where cartoony, it was the coloration of the units and buildings.

I would not mind if they got rid of the tusks, but I do like the spikes on the tail.
