You almost gave me a heart attack there. I thought they had redone the tank again. Please use the search function next time. It doesn't bite.
P.s. the crucio siege tank rocks, and if you need an explanation, then I give you 3 words: deployable arclite cannon.

The tank that they have now is cool. The old tank just looked terrible compared to the new 3d tank.

From what I know of it, I like the new tank.

Looks decent. Alleged high RoF makes up for slightly reduced tank mode damage (I hope). High supply cost keeps it from being spammed like in StarCraft I (I hope). Siege cannon damage seems too high, though; it can one shot quite a few kinds of units.

The new tank is probably going to be as popular as the latest craze, or as popular as WoW pretty much.

i like the new look of the siege, especially with the cool looking, although unrealistically scifi, flat cannon when sieging. The only problem is see, as a terran player, is the lack of a runnings and shooting ability... or has that changed... last time i heard, it could not drive away while shooting, like todays tanks do.
if our tanks can, why can't theirs.

    Changes to Siege Tank
Regular Attack: 200% ROF, 83% damage to Armored units
Siege Attack: +1 Range, 142% damage
Cost: 133% Mineral Cost, 150% Vespene Cost, 150% Supply Cost

In short, a significant increase in cost in return for a significant increase in firepower. However, the total lack of any boost to HP or Defense means that the Siege Tank is extremely fragile for its cost, being 350 resources for 150 HP.

This unit is absolute beauty, but the armaments remain the same. I would've suggested adding a gatling gun to its "tank mode" as well to attack multiple targets simultaneously.

I agree about the high cost/low hp problem.

Why do people like weapons that can attack multiple targets so much? (I'm not talking about splash, I'm talking about splitting up attacks?) "Focus fire" is always better, since a unit with 1 hp does full damage.

I hesitated before voting between the two "No". I don't like the crucio tank ,but I don't care too. I don't like its form. The original tank had the form of a tank. I can't judge the crucio tank by its form because i don't like the battlecruiser nex form too. All the terran units and buildings are differents, and the crucio tank just followed the new models.

I agree. All the terran buildings and units got a model upgrade. But we should be happy we at least still have it.

Personally i love how the siege tank has become a more powerful unit even though it costs more anddoesn't have alot of health. However i much rather the old siege tank deploying animation, the crucio animation seems too simple and it no longer has the little tongue stick out at the end =O.

The little tongue? Oh, you mean the cannon. Well if you would rather have a 2d Tank in a 3d world that's fine with me. The tanks are the same, with a few changes. Even if the tank looked crappy. At least we have it. Blizzard could have just torched the tank, and replace it with the Thor.

I like the idea of making it more useful in tank mode, but 150hp is pretty low for how expensive it is now.

I suggest increase the hp a bit, and give it a defense penalty in siege mode so it has a base armor of -1 or -2 when sieged. Transforming exposes the complex mechanisms required for such a task and even leaves gaps in the tanks armor, making it more vulnerable to light attacks.

I think they can receive a hp boost without getting an armor penalty when sieged. They already can't move, have a minimum range, and friendly-fire.

That's a fair compromise for the whooping range of 13 and massive damage. No hp boost is needed imo. Wouldn't make much sense anyway... it's the same thing. If anything, the reduced armour would sound logical.

I must go with the higher hp, and the lower armor in siege mode. But that would just make it weaker. It's fine right now. But in siege mode, light units like zerglings should be able to do more damage to it, than when it's in tank mode.

    Just for comparison.

    150hp, 1 armor dies in...
    38x 5 damage hits
    17x 10 damage hits
    8x 20 damage hits
    4x 40 damage hits

    175hp, -1 armor dies in...
    30x 5 damage hits
    16x 10 damage hits
    10x 20 damage hits
    5x 40 damage hits

    175hp, -2 armor dies in...
    25x 5 damage hits
    15x 10 damage hits
    8x 20 damage hits
    5x 40 damage hits

I wonder how fast the actual attack speeds are in tank and siege mode now, from word of mouth it seems that tank mode attacks a lot faster than in starcraft 1, and siege mode attacks a little slower than it did in starcraft 1.

Hmm. I guess the current tank is fine now. Armor is more important than hp. Which is always true. Unless you have several thousand hp. That would totally counter the need of armor. If it was like 150,000 hp.
