So I haven’t been able to find anything about the new "shared resources" queue in the Blizzcon build. I found that kinda cool for situations where an ally was almost dead and I wanted to keep him in the game for balance. You can quickly choose how much of each to send and he’s back. Just one feature in a long list of little conveniences that add up to an amazingly better game than SC1. Kudos to the SC2 Dev team! So to list them quickly : -Auto send for probes so they get to work as soon as they build - a little reminder of units that are idle and commands recently issued -Advance way points and operation queues for each unit. -CTRL button selects all of a type including buildings (like ALL your gateways or stargates for massing units) -Warning you when your ally is under attack. -Research queue for new techs . Kudos to the SC2 Dev team Im already addicted and you only have 2 races built! owerup:
yeah it actually just speeds up that Lull at the beginning of each game so that you can get on top the good stuff.
I really like the shared resources idea. Help someone out in the beginning when they are getting overpowered because they dont have cash. Although it would mean you'd feel obligated to help crappier players
lol i hate it when i try to put all my workers to each mineral patch in the beginning of the game. Sometimes I screw up and like 3 workers mine in the same mineral patch and it pisses me off cause I already start off slow. ^_^ yea those features you listed are those minor things that we need for it to have smoother gameplay. i'm glad they included all those.
how resource sharing should work IMO = get your workers and you can put the resource into your allie's nexus/command center/hatchery
In Warcraft 3 you could hotkey and waypoint your workers like for example I could tell my peasent to go build 3 farms and then when he is done go back to chopping lumber. I just queue that up and let him work. They actually have most of the features your talking about in Warcraft 3. So I'm guessing they will have something like that in Starcraft 2.
Hmm...that's going to totally eliminate the mineral split early game that separates the good players from the noobs. Oh well, we'll find a new way to pull it off.
