Well, today the zerg ultralisk was revealed which sparked a lot of emotions for me about the sequal of starcraft :X ... It and the variety of gameplay videos for sc2 which i have watched made me remember what first made starcraft and other games so appealing to me and im sure many others.... Back then i didnt know anything of starcraft before it was released, so i was not "hyped" about anything and i knew nothing of its units/structures and setting. I still remember the feeling when i first encountered the zerg in the terran campaign, because i didnt know what to expect it all came as a really "cool" shock to me.. the creep, hydralisks etc...

But well, to the point: i have been drooling over many games before they were released, and to some extent it ruins the imba shock of what i first encounter in the game when i finally buy it. So, u might think me insane but meh.. after seeing so many of the units, settings, campaign style, etc, of starcraft 2 im slightly worried that when i finally buy it (according all goes to plan for blizz) it will all be well.. less of a surprise? for lack of a better word. I wont get the feeling: OMG WTF IS THAT! when i first see a unit... it will probobly be like: mhm.. theres the terran thor.. etc.

Ur probobly thinking: Erh.. just stop browsing the sc2 sites! But rofl, thats easier said than done :X..
To finish however.. im wondering if anyone else has had this same fear? and plans to stop checking for sc2 updates? :-[

I'm completely aware that I won't have that kind of reaction to the game when it is finally released. I don't care, it's a fleeting feeling and not really worth having over again if it means giving up being able to watch the game's development unfold.

But... I suppose I did kinda do that with Spore and SSBB. I only occasionally check stuff relating to them.

Hey, if you're up to it, go ahead and save the treats until later.
