The Banshee excites me. And I started a thread in the Terran section about it literally like two minutes before this was posted on news hahaha.

ok now i <3 the banshee, i was worried it would be too fragile but it looks like it takes a punch wooo, + stealth? i love this unit. (haha the description says that its incapable of space flight, but the action clip shows it on a space platform .. yea i kno its just a game)

Yeah Sikhye23 I noticed that too. Maybe space platforms in Starcraft have some sort of atmosphere? They definitely have gravity, otherwise all your units would float away.

Marine - let's rock and roAAAHHH *gets thrown into space by recoil of gun*

who would place a pylon like that... still nice killz; it's like a cooler version of the guardian.

at first, i was dissapointed in how long it took them to take down the stalkers after the pylon, but then i realised they focused on the pylon, and not the other.

Y'know what's weird? I feel like the pylon somehow has lower HP than the phase cannons. I know the pylon had more concentrated fire hitting it, but the phase cannons took quite a hits too, especially when u include in the area damage when hitting the stalkers. But by the end of the animation the phase cannons didn't even lose their shields...

...am I just totally off or does anyone else notice the same thing?

yea I actually did notice. The phase cannon to the right were being pounded a lot more than the pylon did and it was still intact... lol

Yes. That is strange..... In SC1 the pylons had WAY more HP than cannons. It usually had to be 4-5 cannons on pylon to make it worth taking that out instead...... That IS interesting but it could just be a matter of concentrated fire and splash damage.

BTW, did anyone notice that the concept drawing has one rotor blade while the actual unit has two? Strange...need to change their concept design to match the unit lol.

EDIT: It's definitely just a concentration of fire. The cannons didn't receive NEARLY as much damage as the pylon did in just a couple seconds. That was the full on force of all of the Banshees.

haha the banshee concept art reminds me of an A-10 Warthog converted into a hovering type craft.

yea I actually like the two rotor blade unit better. One rotor blade seems a bit awkward looking but more slicker.

Spanish name: Ãtropos... lol? I don't like it at all. Why not banshee?

Seems like the attack is inaccurate and kind of random. I like the concept and the design but not that fact at all,.

Actually the one-blader looks to me like it's one of those RC helicopters that you spin off your hand to fly it... lol. Kinda wobbly lookin'.

I love the 2 rotor design. I just wish the overall graphics were less craptoony.

no... they dont. the whole point of concept art is when they are thinking up units, the take the concept and draw what they think it should look like... then they change the units in-game model to look better.

People complain about the Pylon going down to fast. When are people gonna get that these things are only for show, to make it look cool. And even if the Pylon is weak, the game is far from finished. About time people look at what counts, the unit itself. ;)

My first impression was: C&C all over. Wraith was cooler. Though I like the AOE missiles.
