I have been thinking a bit about Terran game play it the ramp is much larger like Scrap Station. On most other maps Terran walls in but what happens if the wall in area is twice as large?

Also, can anyone here give me some replay links, preferable Terran games from latest build?

Scrap Station has the same size choke as LT. If you're talking about the dual team map with a large ramp, I usually just use two Barracks instead of one.

Can any of the other races choke with buildings as efficiently as the Terran? And if not, what pluses do the other races to balance this out during the early game?

I've encountered some protoss players who like to build across their choke with a gateway and pylon. It's just as easy to do as protoss as terran, but it's not nearly as effective. The reason terran always way is because they're the only race that starts with a ranged unit. You could block your choke as protoss, but since your starting unit is a zealot, if they attack before you get stalkers or sentries, you're just going to lose your buildings unless you have a photon cannon up somewhere. And even if you can fend off an attack from behind a choke, there's no way to get out of your base. It's easy for terran since they can simply life off, or lower their supply depots now, as a protoss player you're just stuck.

In place of this, the protoss have the sentry unit after they make a cybernetics core. One of the sentries abilities is forcefield, which basically just makes an impenetrable wall for a short period of time. It's the perfect size to completely block normal chokes lost Lost Temple, if it's not big enough you just make two sentries or wait until your sentry has 100 energy. In one sense this ability is even better than a wall, because if you use it right, you can easily split an attacking force in half and easily destroy their attack.

Also, I've never seen any zerg even attempt to block a choke, I'm not sure how they would go about doing this either.

Scrap station has the same size choke as lost temple? How is that? Are you talking about your base ramp? it's easily twice as large. ;)

What Protoss players often do however is build a pylon and a gateway to choke off their ramp, but leave a small gap. In this gap you can stick one or 2 zealots and have them hold position, that way you actually use units to completely seal off your base.

Also, it always helps to make the entrance to your base narrower, as enemy units will have to come in one or two at a time into your force, giving you a distinct advantage.

So with Toss, don't block your ramp completely with buildings, but definitely narrow the choke.

Keep in mind that when you narrow your choke you also severely limit your ability to respond to defend your natural expansion.

What I see, and do, is really only choke to block initial scouting.
After that if my choke gets destroyed, I usually don't bother rebuilding, unless it is a primarily zeal/ling army.

As a side note, I have seen Toss wall off smaller chokes with a Gateway/Forge combo, making Canons behind it. This isn't usually an issue because they also usually go Warpgates.

I have seen one Zerg make a wall with Spine Crawlers before. It was actually pretty effective, maybe more because I was baffled at how to take it on than it actually being a good idea.
