yup, supply depot wall with a bunker or two, and eventually tanks, behind the wall.

(or if you are really fast and he is kinda slow (for a zealot rush) you can build 1-2 CCs at the enterance with planetary defense with tanks and turrets behind them. (lots of damage, and they can take alot of hits, use your mass of SCVs to repair it them)

Ghosts with emp just devastates the army after zealots, ghosts are a must after hw turns to stalkers or w/e after zealots.

The wall. Build a barracks and depots to block your choke and rally your Marine production behind your wall. Unless you're a slow player and he's relatively fast you should have no problem. If it is, you need to work on improving your speed. Generally you should try getting your first depot down at the choke at 9/11, then the barracks then another depot sealing the choke. With marines behind that zealots have no chance at all.

This also works against Zergling rushes but it is usually harder to get it up in time.

If he's so keen on Zealot rushing, block off your ramp with a barracks and depots. There's no real point in getting a bunker unless (in my opinion here) you're against Zerg and he's going to try to bust open your wall with Banelings.

I suggest when you start building your barracks, go for your Refinery ASAP so you can throw a Tech Lab onto your barracks and start pumping out Marauders. Be sure to get their upgrade from the lab, because with micro you will just eat up Zealots.

After his rush, give it a minute or two with another barracks (Reactor addon on this one!) pumping out Marines. Then go push. Put pressure on his base. As you're doing this, or a bit before, get a Factory up so you can get your Starport.

Because if you don't win there from the push, the Protoss will probably respond with air units or Colossi to deal with your infantry. I'd put a Reactor on the Starport since all you really need for air is Vikings. They eat up Colossi (watch out for Stalkers hitting your Vikings) and Void Rays. Medivacs are an obvious must have, and if you like keeping those Marines from your Reactor Barracks in your army be sure to get the Shield upgrade and Stimpacks.

Ghosts. For the most part they're mandatory but if you have Stim upgrade you'll tear through the Protoss ground army. EMP Shot is just a funtastic way of dropping half or his entire army in one engagement.

Ah. Well with Marauders when, and even before you get their upgrade from the Tech Lab, you can just dance them around Zealots/Zerglings/Roaches.

They obviously have a longer range than those units, and the slow effect is just brutal on them.

Right click your group of Marauders away from the enemy units, build a little distance, and then press S to stop them. They'll all turn around and start shooting obviously. This will apply the slow effect. While the slow is on the enemy units, right click your Marauders away again. Get the distance. Stop them. Take shots.

This is the basic Marauder micro. You'll basically keep dancing them around the enemy units and definately get your minerals worth in kills and damage done.

In general though, micro refers to the control of your units. It's beyond just selecting all your troops, pressing A, and sending them off in the general direction your enemy is in.

Space Pirate Rojo - that was good advice! I shall implement some of that myself. Many thanks.

you need to micro your marines, as in move and shoot, move and shoot
