Hey all, I have been playing SC2 for the last couple of weeks and are loving it. Here is what I have come up with so far. No doubt improvements can be made and critiques welcome of course This has what has worked for me fairly well against all races quite a few times. Initially I build up a few SCVs,1 supply depot, refinery and then rush out 2 Barracks with reactors and pump out marines for defense against an early attack from enemies. If able to wall in next i usually put up supply depots and a bunker or two to block off ground attacks. Build a factory as well with tech lab and pump out a few siege tanks. Making sure to research siege tech and then place the siege tanks into siege mode asap to ward off ground attacks. Next build 4 or 5 missile turrets for added air defense. Build an engineering bay and research level 1 armor and level 1 weapons. Build a new comm centre and move an SCV as quickly as possible to a close mineral field and also move some marines for defense and a barracks. Then start mining that too and setup a defense with marines. All the while this is going on I'm continually pumping out marines at the main base, building extra supply depots to keep up. This seems to be able to ward off early air strikes and also ground attacks, while still allowing a decent development rate as well. From there its starports as quick as possible with a raven to see cloaked enemies and banshees with cloak to start harrassing enemy supply lines. After that there are a number of ways extra but extra comm centres and mining then building seige tanks, Thors and Cruisers , ghosts with EMP ( for Protoss) upgrading ship and vehicle armor and then initiate a joint ground/air assault. Easier said than done tho, but the early to mid phase seems to work well for me unless you get hit with an early cloaked banshee assault. Anyway any input is welcome
Just some advice, as terran you want to try and wall off your choke with ur first supply / barracks. Dont wait to wall cuz you can be rushed before you get ur first couple of barrack's up.
yeah good idea will try that although so far I guess I have just been lucky having enough marines straight away to counter an early ground attack.
Make sure that you still have a few marines even if you do wall off the choke point otherwise the structures wont last very long.
