Terran nuclear missiles take TOO LONG to land!

Terran nukes take 20 seconds to hit their target from when the ghost calls in the nuclear strike. Anywhere on the map. Even if you are targeting inside your own base, right next to the nuclear silo that launched it!

20 seconds is WAY too long!!!!!

Cut it to 15, 12, or even 10 seconds. I hate it when I get a nuke target all lined up on the enemy, and one good hit will take out 90% of his army, and they move aside before the nuke lands.

Didn't they shorten the nuke time in SC2 compared to SC1?

The whole point of nukes is that they're a very powerful attack but very slow and easy to defend against. Nukes would be OP with a shorter delay, as there would be less time to detect and kill the ghost calling down the attack, or to move your army. Making it faster close to your own base might actually be a good idea (it would emphasize defense over offense and lengthen games) but this isn't likely to happen.

    To the Original poster.
If you are trying to use nukes on mobile armies you are missing the point. The nukes are good for base killing. Buildings can't move out of the rode of a nuke.

And as the above poster said. Very powerful attack but also very risky makes it rather well balanced.

When you have 5 bases it's hard to spot the little red dot somewhere. The time is NEEDED!

Ghosts also do some really dumb things when calling down nukes. I was going to nuke someone's Terran base yesterday, and between my ghost and his base was a small gap in the ground, no more than 1 tank length wide. I wanted to stand on one side of the gap and land the nuke on the other but OOOOOOOOOHHHHH NNNNOOOOOOOOO, the damn ghost insisted on running around to the enemies' side of the gap before he would call down the nuke! What the hell difference does a small gap in the ground make?

And then he used his sensor sweep on me, found me, and a seige tank blasted me. So I had to fly my medivac back up to my base and pick up another ghost.

I have learned to work my way into an enemy base with nukes, even with a line of photon cannons in my way. I can get in, but it'll take a few nukes to do it. I usually build 5-6 missile silos at a time and constantly re-arm them with new nuclear missiles.

There have been a lot of trolls posting in this topic. I think it's time to let this topic die.

Perhaps one day I may get the idea behind posting "don't feed the troll" when the action itself does just the opposite. In the future please just report the post as asdf did and do nothing more. I think troll threads are neater with a single post in them and a padlock than a mess like this, and the forum rules would seem to support that.

McStupid: for one, balancing is still heavily worked on in the beta, so the duration could change at any time if sufficient evidence concerning feedback supports it. Two, please take more time to think through your arguments to hopefully spark good discussion.

To anyone who thinks I'm a troll -- **** YOU, I am not, I have an issue with this game item and am here to state my opinion on it.
