i made this and i just thought the background music fits the terran very well.

yah its from the rock movie ost. blizzard should steal the rock soundtrack and put it on sc2. ^^

the music is just baddass and terran epic. the sc1 terran misic was great.. but i think something like this, more upbeat and war like and epic will be 10x better for the terran in sc2.

Hmmm, I kind of like the music. But I like original Blizzard music, not any other stolen music.

Terrans don't do orchestral strings!

Orchestral strings are like violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Basically, it's what you hear in the videos you linked. It's the main rhythm/tune. The Terran need a more metallic kind of music, like what you hear in the StarCraft1, not the harmonious strings like you hear in the Rock theme song.

 

ah ok. thanks. but still the rock music theme fits good for the terran since both have these military thing going on.

 

They both have a military theme, but that doesn't mean that one's theme song will fit the other. String instruments don't fit the Terran. It's true that string instruments are extremely versatile, but it's a very different feel to that of the Terran. They'll need music similar to what they had in StarCraft1, without specified instruments, and a much more metallic sound to it.

well its your choice. i on the other hand want some change, something new but as long as its military and war like. the rock theme makes the terran feel tough and badass.

 

No-one said that they don't want it to change or to be new. Everyone wants something new but don't want the whole style to be changed. It's just like with each race, everybody wants change and new units, but no-one wants the whole team to change. Protoss should still be Protoss, Terran should still be Terran and Zerg should still be Zerg, despite each of them having units removed, changed and added. The same goes for each of their music. New music, same feel.

 

I third what Itza said.
Apart from all the new tracks they've made, I hope that each race gets one remix of an old track from SC1.

I said orchestral strings 'cause the original Terran music was on strings... but acoustic and electric guitar, not violin/viola/cello/doublebass.

The orchestral strings race is the Protoss.

@GMG: I don't remember where it was stated, but, good news, Blizzard has already said that the SC2 soundtrack will include remixed versions of the original SC1 music.

hope they make the good music for starcraft again, i never got tired of the music they use now for terran, its so cool!

 

i, actauly, think the music fits for them. the rock, reminds me when i watched my brother-in-laws marine training.
