Or in other words, will we see terrans teching to mechs vs protoss and terran like in SC1 or will marines and medics with reapers for harrasment be the first batch of warriors. Its clear that Marines and medics will be the zerg fighters again but what about vs toss and terran.
M&M is almost completely obsolete mid-late game for sc2 because of all the super powerfull weapons added. Terran will rape them with banshee, seige tank, battlecruiser. M&M will probably work better against Protoss but Carrier and Collosus will still walk all over them
see thats the thing, they wont be. If you dont cluster them up banshees aint that hot. If you dont walk in the siege tanks, they are still very good. They have 55hp mid game,and shoot a lot... You can have vikings + predators to counter the banshees easily. And use banshees and/or vikings to kill siege tanks, or even thors to blow em up. Like in that demo of the thor. 3 Thors walked in, bombarded the defenses and siege tanks and then send in the MM. Vs protoss, kill the Colossus with vikings/tanks and gogo marines they will be cheap to make and good meat shields and will work very well vs warp rays, stalkers, immortals and such.
if your going to have a large army made up of units other than M&M than it doesnt really matter does it?
yeah it does, you need cheap expendable units, otherwise, losing one battle may mean gg for you. Losing an army of tanks,banshees,vikings,thors is very expensive, losing an army of marines and medics and some other units is easily replacable.
How about mass stalkers and zealots with charge? That would be a good counter... and you are all forgetting the classic... psionic storm.
Firebats(assuming they are back) + marines medics > zealots + stalkers Currently i dont have a specific counter for zealots, but stalkers are no problem for marines, i dont see stalkers as much of a problem for terran atm.
