I gotta say I was finally starting to warm up to the Tempest... my only real complaint about it was its total lack of any shields against air... but still.... YAY CARRIERS!

YES Tempest is scrapped, it looks so small and if there is a new capital unit that came before the Tempest there is no point putting the Tempest on whatsoever and IF the Tempest WAS the capital unit i think they should be bigger, make the Warp Rays smaller because i don't mind the Warp Rays, good thing they took it out but it was cool :thumbup: :good:

Oh my lord. I...wow. Okay, I actually don't know how to feel right now. On the one hand I really love the fact that the Carrier's coming back, but I admit I had quite an affinity for the Tempest. But I guess what kept me from loving 'em is the fact that they weren't capital ships, and they felt just kind of awkward in size and proportion. So I guess, what the hell, cheers for the mighty carriers.

So NOW are the carriers the official flagships of the Protoss? I'm thinking between The Phoenix's area attack for lighter units, the Warp Ray's concentrated attack on heavier units, and the Carrier's overall omnipotent sky-conquering madness, the Protoss is gonna rule the skies.

Interesting part on the MS being the new area cloak unit. I'm not too sure on how I feel about that. I guess it's alright. I'm not as drawn to the Star Relic at this point, but we'll see how the Time Lapse thing works out.

Yeah I'm getting the same error message. But with the return of the Carrier it looks like the whole Protoss air force is going to have to be tweaked a little bit to keep it balanced.

Good news, I love carriers!
But I hope Blizzard keep the name and design of the tempest. Tempest look so cool, but I dislike that they can't attack air. Their name is also cool.

...they could attack air. they just didnt have a shield vs air.

 

Oh... sorry, I read a little bit fast.

 

They said no defenses against air....

 

but then there was a screenshot of a bunch of mutalisks fighting 4 tempests. and the tempests were clearly fighting back.
