So, I play a lot of 4v4 recently. In 4v4, I think there is a fairly large random factor. Sure, a brilliant player can tip the scale, but in general, if your 4 opponents come against you at once, with good timing, their is very little you can do. And yet, people will always flame their teammates playing styles. Why? Do you guys live your life with this "point finger" mentality as well? I think Starcraft is an excellent place to build character. I think we should place starcraft with a Love They Neighbour's Zergling mentality! \(^o^)/
Ayanami, I agree that SC2 is an excellent place to build character, the reason being that there are so many obstacles within the community. I'm sure most of the human population live by this pointing the finger.
I only BM against the opposing team, anyway. More fun that way. I just can't take 2s, 3s, or 4s seriously.
May I ask what it is about 2v2 that doesn't raise your serious recognition? I mean, they're part of Clanwars and all that... when it comes to flaming in general, it's just pathetic, regardless who's doing it at who.
The higher you go in the number of players the less predictable people and games become, so scouting info and the metagame is completely different. 1v1 has more depth and requires more skill, which is also why people bm/rage in team games: because they're beaten by people who are worse than them (they don't know timings, builds, they only mass t1 units, can't manage multiple bases, etc.). Understandable, if you ask me. It's as if you were dominated by a 10 year old in your favourite pastime activity. If you don't feel bad about such things happening then there's something wrong with your self esteem. ps probably only those understand this who have played masters people in team games who are gold in 1v1
People gg you and the game is not over yet, because you just crushed their T1 1 unit composition they ragequit calling you a noob. Teammates calling you a noob because he's on the other side and has no def against 4 opps and you're not helping him. People calling you noob because they've qualified platinum or diamond in a fixed team, if you check their random team achievements they are in lower bronze. , it's just pathetic... I'm not a complete noob, I'm in top 3 bronze for a while now, playing silvers and higher trying to win with teamates that are far worse then me. It's so competitive, this can be very hard for some people to accept........
1v1 is intimidating for most new players, so they resort to 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4, in hopes of having great games and an in-depth experience of the game. Little do they know, thats not going to happen *troll face*. They get rushed by 2 or 3 opponents and then they lose. With a heavy anchor in their chest they move on to the next game. Same thing happens again, and again, and AGAIN. BM is bound to happen! It's either epic lulz for you and your team when you rush a player and ultimately win the game, or its major rage when one of your teammates is rushed and your team loses. There's no "competition", there's no "balance" in team games! It's a flip of a coin, a gamble, and that results usually results in RAGE and BM.
The answer is easy ... kiddos... and adult people that in their depths are kiddos. Nobody like to loose, but take it easy man ... they ahve been better, thats all... otherwise just go 1vs1. I like 4vs4 and 3vs3 cause I like to do "team" strategyes.. so you can build units to fit your partner units for the best, make big attacks, or help defense. So I would say, just don't take care of team flammers ... if somone tries to give you advice, thats good (despite he can be wrong hehe)... otherwise, continue as if was not there and have a happy time.
To be completely honest, I prefer the more... laid back(?) environment of larger games sometimes. Not because I'm lazy or bad, but because there seems to be less pressure involved when the burden of good play is distributed. If I look away to watch TV for a sec, which I would never do in a 1v1 game, it's not a huge deal. I have tried odd build orders and unit combinations with a couple friends only to have the 2/3 of them win the game before I even have an army. It can definitely be a lot of fun, or a lot of frustration. I guess it depends on what your goal is.
I get "tromped on" all the time, even by the 1 that supposed to be my team member.Guess it has to be a mental thing against losing.
