[suggestion] Race specific status icons

I have yet another suggestion for the forum: 3 race specific status icons as shop items.

I think it'd be a nice feature. They'd look cool and you could also tell everyone which race you prefer.

I like it kuvasz, I think its a really good idea actually. This would be a cool little thing to add to the forums and unlike alot of suggestions (not really yours but) I really would like to see this one implement, its not a big thing and it just helps people connect better.

What would also be cool is if you could set your items box from a house to the race central building of your choice.

I play all races, but I LOVE the zerg. You can pick whichever you prefer, doesn't matter. I think they're a nice idea. ;-)

On the items selling, CC could be upgradable to surveillance station, Planetary Fortress, Sat-com station or Nuke-add-on. How about it? I only don't see how would Nexus get an improvement.

 

I'm sorry but that is one stupid argument. You wouldn't have to buy this, you could stick with the current one. Duh...

Anyways, i like the idea. The only issue, and it's minor, is that Terran and Protoss icons look slightly alike. not that much, but still. Could ir some people. I would buy it though.

 

I would definately get the zerg one. This is one of the best forum changing ideas if seen yet. I think sc2forums should look into this idea.

Also, I like BoP's idea about changing the "view items" box to CC, nexus, or hatchery/lair/hive pictures.

 

Maybe there should be just something like this:

Race: Zerg or Race: Terran

What so you think?

As for Terran and Protoss being too similar, I don't think they are. But even if they are, that's how they are in-game I like them the way they are.

I really like the idea! I wish this gets inplemented. But Kuvasz, your price options are always too much. This should be selling for 1 mineral.

 

I'd like to see "race packs" with status icon, the CC/Nex/Hive for view items and a racial frame of choice. If some other "racial" features get implemented they should be added too

 

1 mineral?!?! I think it should be something that you have to work for to get, that way random people who go on this sit and never posts can't buy them all. However, at 100 minerals, non-posters could still buy it, maybe sell it at 110 or 120?

The 200 stack for each is good since that would give them some value, and people who join later would still have a chance of buying them.

Also, I think it should be that each person could only get one of them since having all three would be pointless and would not give other people the chance to buy them, but make it so that you could take yours back to the shop to trade for another one if it's still in stock. That way, if you get bored with the one you have, you could change it and still give new people the chance to buy them.

 

I just think that items should be a nice goal for collecting minerals. And also remember that with the current inflation, 100 minerals is literally nothing. Anyway, sc2 would set the price as he finds appropriate, just like he did with my previous items, so while it is good to discuss these things, they count little to the end result

ps Eonmaster, totally agree with you and I would like to add that all 3 types could be owned by a person but you'd need to use one of them to make it active and change the icon, much like how frames work now.

 

They should only be 50 minerals each because their small and its just an icon for Your online/offline status.
