There's no limits for signatures size, only dimensions limit. When I saw a guy(mod btw) with sig more that 1 MB, I decided to start this pool. Why not make the limit to 100 - 200 KB, as in other sites. Such huge sigs make surfing forum slower, and are annoying for those who have more 'lightweight' signatures. ::)

P.S. All this is my IMHO...

Lol way to comment on my signature. It's relatively new and I haven't gotten around to resizing it. But I will do so ASAP. ;)

I was just figuring out the sizing, but thanks for the reminders!

yes 1 MB is a little extreme. I suppose the forum could have some sort of picture sig uploader that would limit the size and dimentions and resize accordingly

I don't see an issue with it. My internet, IE btw, works fine even with Jon's and Terrangod's sigs on pages.

Lol, there's only 2 people with such large sigs now. I witnessed the future, and can say that 3 of 10 users in this forum ,with no sigs limits, will catch the fashion and make this site as damn overloaded myspace.

I've never been on myspace, so I have no idea how bad it is. I personally tend to stay away from sites like that where you share personal information with friends you have never seen.

In fact, this is the only forum I have ever been in.

Well, I'm registered in 16+ forums at present time, 5 of them I'm using as regular as this one, had been 1200+ users gaming forum admin. I wouldn't make a soap bubble from nothing, sig limit is a serious question.

plz pm me all 5 forums u use regularly.

as for this question, i vote yes, because the signature file size can get very bad.

however, i beleive the actual dimension limit should be slackened a bit, as i have had many people who make signatures on other sites have to remake the sig smaller because of this site having such an awkward limit.

It's OK about dimensions, only problem is size, imho. In admin's words, signature dimensions are acceptable, as long as they fit posts width, and are not more than 100px in height.

I've got no problem with this, never, doesn't matter on what page or whatever forum I am on, even when downloading. Just leave it this way. And if everyone just started to use photobucket instead of those damn slow other picture hosting sites, the forum would be twice as fast anyways.

I don't say there should be heavy limits involved, but why not limit at least to 1MB ?

I think so too. The height limit is 100 pixels I think.

100 pixel is the limit to my knowledge. The biggest size for a sig can be 100 H by 400 W (height and width).

I think these sigs are good right now.I sometimes stop to read 'em like terrangods:) It's not for me, but if he likes it, it's ok.
(until my internet connection hasn't got any problems with it) :p
