You know the moments. They may add almost nothing to the core gameplay of a game, and sometimes they're not even interactive, but damn it if they aren't cool. Everything from cutscenes, to music cues to plot twists and more can all go into making a game's storytelling moments brilliant, and here's where you come in. Tell us which storytelling moment which you liked or enjoy the most from a game! I'll give example: Prey Native American-themed FPS, May have mostly action during course of the game, But has one of most jaw dropping open sequences I've seen. Tommy, the game's protagonist, starts out in a bar trying to convince his girlfriend to leave their reservation and move away to the city. Cue the sounds of Blue Öyster Cult's (Don't Fear) the Reaper ", minus the cowbell, playing on the bar's jukebox. The BÖC rock away while alien saucers tear the roof off the bar, shine in their green tractor beams, and adbuct everyone insight. Very creepy if you ask me but cool. So post storytelling moments you liked, which made you want to finish game or a something made you laugh ^_^ I can't wait to read them.
The substory in the Cradle in Thief 3 is very immersive. Garret is haunted by a small girls Ghost and even gets cursed by the Buildings evil influence wich has to be removed by "suiciding". Annother memorable moment is the attack on Pauls apartment in Deus Ex. Also legendary is the Psycho Mantis Bossfight from Metal Gear Solid. Hardly known known but very very good is the Conclusive/Final storyline from Ever 17-The out of infinity. Everything you thought was true and thought you knew about the characters is proven false and it consists of more Plottwist than all previous storylines together.
