Although I can certainly say I've seen crazier ideas, I do have to say this is an eyebrow raiser. Normally products are marketed and merchandised after the release of the content they're based on. I suppose SteelSeries is taking a new approach. I do have to say I love their mousepads (despite my getting made fun of by more serious players). In any case SteelSeries has announced their new StarCraft II Keyboard, to add on to their already existing line of StarCraft II mice, mousepads, and various other peripherals. Hey, in slow times like this we have to take our victories where we can. I'll wait a bit to see if Logitech blows it out of the water, but then I might buy it. Or I'll glue Tychus to my "return" key instead. Hell, it's about time... Source: SteelSeries
Yes I think this is a good idea till SC 2 modifies something and they suddenly find they need an extra button on the keyboard. I agree a bit silly making it when the game is still in Alpha. Anyways if it helps those Pro SC gamers get the edge well it's all worth it I think.
It is fun but the y should have wait to know more about the gameplay to make a keyboard. It looks like it could be usefull, but the extrabuttons at the right maybe should be at the left of the arrows, or stuffs like that that we cant know before having played a lot.
I wouldn't buy it even after the game is developed, it looks like a few stickers on an already existant keyboard.
yeah, this is actually a keyboard series, they just put different stickers on for different games. not sure how well it performs as a keyboard, though. the #1 concern for me is key lockout... some gamer keyboards still don't address that.
Mark my words, before SC2 is even in beta people will be able to go to their barber and get a "Jim Raynor"-haircut
