If you have Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, like classic slow moving zombies, conserving every drop of ammo you can find, and boarding up houses, stores, or whatever serves as a base... Get Zombie Panic. It's my current favorite game, even if I'm always one of the first to die. I'm also thinking of buying Red Orchestra because a friend let me have a trial for it for a while, and I found it was my favorite World War shooter.
Going on right now for some Zombie Panic. Hopefully the server I always go to is on the mall level, or water level.

Argh, you have the orignal Half-Life games, lucky. Might borrow Half-Life from my uncle though. And I've heard that Left 4 Dead runs smoother than Team Fortress 2. I can't run Team Fortress 2 great, but I still can run it. Would I be able to run Left 4 Dead?
The original half life games are great and I like the setting and style better than Half life 2 because it has more aliens and sci-fi elements in my opinion. The one thing I didn't like about Half-life 2 when it came out was it didn't have the variety that Half-life 1 had.
I think HL2 had far greater variety if you think about it. You get to drive vehicles for long distances, travel canals, sewers, beaches, city streets, a prison, the citadel... In HL you were inside Black Mesa like all the time. Aside from that, you were on the surface and Black Mesa and on Xen. I am just talking about variety now though, I agree somewhat about the setting and style. I liked the blockish design of things, and how forsaken you were and alone you felt. In HL2 everything is very open and you get things like vehicles and rocket launches handed to you by resistence members.
Your right that the environments were more diverse but I mean in terms of like the type weapons, enemies, alien types etc. I don't know how to describe it but the style of Half-life 2 was too generic human-ish compared to the first Half-life. Yea there are plenty of good reasons for that and Half-Life 2 is an beyond excellent game. I mean in Half-life 1 you fought a combination of different aliens and human type things same with the weapons you had your basic modern weapons, some human experimental weapons and some completely alien weapons. In Half life 2 all you got is the AR2 that is still more like a basic assault rifle than a alien or experimental weapon. and all the combine are pretty human integrated in terms of enemy types such as regular soldiers, helicopters, apcs, etc.
Will-err Rojo, you should be able to run Left4Dead, runs great on mine. I have the same problem as you, it's little choppy for TF2.
...Well then. That has to wait, sadly. I have a whole whack of friends that have birthdays this month, so my allowance is going towards gifts instead of selfish things. But I'll grab it then, and if it doesn't work for some anomaly, I'll at least have it on Steam.
So borrowing my friends account to try Left 4 Dead leads to the conclusion. I can play, but with graphics the equivalent of Half-Life 1, or Quake 1.
