StarCraft2Forum.org Beta Key Video Contest!

It's the moment everyone's been waiting for. The StarCraft 2 beta is on the horizon and everyone's looking for a way to get themselves involved. We've got one of the best ways to do it right here. With the welcome help of Blizzard Entertainment, StarCraft2Forum.org is offering up 18 StarCraft 2 Beta Keys for the taking. We're launching a massive video competition and we want you to get involved!


With six different categories there's sure to be a topic you want to get involved in. And don't worry, this competition isn't meant for the pros. All you need is a video camera that meets the minimum resolution requirements (720x480) and a little imagination! Anyway, you can read more about it on our StarCraft 2 Fan Video Contest page. Jon, are all 18 keys related to the video contests? Or will there be writing, drawing contests, etc?

 

Everything is through the video contest. Seriously though, submitting a video and using creativity and not necessarily technical ability has a good chance of earning you a key.

We're looking for effort and content, not quality.

 

what if oyu only do the script? i dont think I have enough actors xD

Cool, I will not contribute with any video though. Does this mean that the Beta will be sometime after 22 June then?

Hmm sounds very interesting! I would love to get in on this (if I can find my damned video camera) and I would love to play the Beta as well. Also same question lurkers_lurk asked.

 

I very much doubt there will be less than 18 submissions. It's beta keys after all.

Hrm, for the work you put into making the vid, you could be working and earining real cash to buy a beta key. And besides, you don't even know if your video will win.

 

And I very much doubt the number will get near 18
Good opportunity, but generally not the right type of contest in my opinion.

 

Already have a few. I don't expect these videos to take more than a few hours to put together.

I'm definitely in. I need to ask though:

Can we make multiple submissions?
-- 1 per category?
-- multiple per category?
-- only 1 video whatsoever?

 

I bet they'll be over 50 in the end..

 

Yeah Im wondering that too. I already have a video on Youtube thats SC related and was thinking of putting it in the 'creative' category, unless we are only allowed one chance.

Also, I think entries will be in the hundreds.
