I am trying to make a map for me and my friends with edited heros and units but when i play with user map settings the computer does not move, i think i need some triggers for the computers but i dont know how to make them to normal settings.
For the computer play to move you need to order it around from location to location like a pre-ai setup. Or just run junk yard dog make it roam around map doing odd things I guess. So pretty much need to order enemy computer unit around.
This happens to me too. When I make a map with a computer players they don't move. How can I make them gather minerals, attack, build units...?
From what sound like he was doing didn't have anything to do with computer mining. Run Ai Script at location is pretty much how ya get a computer to mine. Sometimes AI just doesnt work, some work well, some don't.
well lol i didnt really want to program everything my enemy does then its kinda pointless im just trying to run my multiplayer with my friends with our own hero units, buildings etc.
If you want computer to build a base just run ai script at location, if ya want him to take control of a hero unit eg; to fight you in arena or something then ya need to program every action he does =/
I am going to extend on what Moogle said by quoting my post on LordKerwyn's topic: Since a location is required for the computer to engage in any sort of action, you must create a location. Be sure to place the location over the desired computer player's main command center/nexus/hatchery. After you do that, make a basic AI Script command: If all else fails, please refer to Blizzard's Official StarCraft Campaign Editor's F.A.Q. by clicking here. That should further elaborate on how computer AIs work and what is necessary to achieve it.
