Starcraft places #11 on IGN's 100 greatest games of all time

This is pretty cool. IGN's made a compilation of their 100 favorite games for PC, and Starcraft came in at 11th place, which is pretty good, but I think I would've given it at least a 7th place. Here's the link to the page: http://top100.ign.com/2007/ign_top_game_11.html

What about Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing?
While it was never buried in the desert and sealed with concrete, it was pretty impressive nonetheless.

 

i think we could of defninitely made the top ten... but 11 is still pretty good!

 

It lost out to Res4?  This must not have been just about PC games then since Res4 would probably make the top ten of worst console to PC exports of all time.

So getting #11 out of all video games isn't bad.  Although I think it being the #1 game in its genre should earn it a higher spot at the very least.

I'd also like to draw attention to a glaring omission in the list. I went through the entire thing and I saw one thing missing that had to be there, probably in the top 20 but at the very freaking least in the top 100.

Diablo 2!

Oh shit, I just realized another one missing. There was no mention of TES either! For the life of me, how the hell do these people leave out such top notch games.

 

Now that you mention it, it's kinda surprising they left out those two. I mean, there were about six different super mario games on there, they didn't need all of those, substitute Diablo and TES for those. Geez.

dunno about TES, but maybe they just forgot about diablo? I mean, sure it sucks on their side, but only reason I see for not including it

TES - The Elder Scrolls
TES 3 was Morrowind, and 4 Oblivion I think

 

oh yeah i remember, oblivion got some really awesome effects

 

I think Oblivion was one of the best RPGs ever. I guess it was because it was released too recently...

But Diablo, that's unforgivable. I lost my faith in IGN.

Hmm, I personally think thet is still under rateing it, but #11 isn't bad by any means.

 

I happen to agree here. For me SC is 3rd best game of all time.

2 and 1 being Master Of Orion 2 and Zelda OOT.
I never liked these so called greatest ever lists. Cause they are so subjective. It'd be impossible for everyone to agree on what should be no.1 or 2 etc.

A pretty nice ranking, I'd say... though I can't see how tetris made it to the 2nd place.

 

Actually, I'm surprised tetris isn't given enough recognition as it should. I'm not gonna lie though...I don't necessarily have a place in my heart for the Sims or anything of that sort.

 

I'm not surprised with tetris. Even my mum played 3d version of tetris - it's like one of two video games she played

I'd argue about some others though, but meh, it's their list so I don't care
