Hmm, who did the wallpaper? I haven't seen those models in that particular angle before. Did somebody model them or is it just a photoshopped image from Blizzard images?

 

A movie's a good idea, but I don't think it'll be good for business, as Starcraft's not mainstream outside of South Korea. A WOW movie is more likely.

 

Hooh yeah its about time!!! but perhaps it would turn out into something babies wont understand so much just like when ive watched trnsformers movie, it turned out the hyoe was not so fulfilling coz the movie wasnt that good storywise,.... so as for SC movie?? perhaps the same fate .. T_T

 

The image well i just try to edited some pictures of starcraft and TADA that is the result is it ugly??

 

IMHO not bad for a poster but to signify the movie?? maybe a bit confusing especially on the wraith... was there a hero who made a huge impact on SC with a mere ship like that?? or if one could see this maybe too much terran is in favor.. and last i think that the 3 races are in hallucination mode or should i say dazed looking at something confusing....

maybe we could see something much better like just a starcraft word logo to keep it a mystery?? or a 3 way orb logo signifying each race...

anyway that was just my opinion

Blizzard makes great CINEMATICS why not a full fledged movie?

ur right about blizz makin great cinematics but i think theyre already planning on having a diablo movie right, if tha will ever be a success i think that warcraft will come next b4 even starcraft coz WOW is already way ahead of starcraft now that it has 3 series and even an MMORPG so what of starcraft?? were still here waiting for the sequel and on the verge of discovery on the vast world of SC.. but to be honest, the world of starcraft will really kick alien butt if theyll be ever to manage to make a great movie about it,, maybe the concept will be about Kerrigan rise perhaps a trilogy movie??? any1?

I personally think Starcraft has the best plot out of all the Blizzard games. I admit my knowledge of WC3 and beyond is kinda hazy, and that Diablo has a great plot in of itself, but SC makes me care the most about the characters, and seems the most real to me.

 

Eh, WarCraft has a wonderful story, but it's waaaaay too long and epic for one movie

 

I don't know if anyone of you has ever stepped outside of your house and asked anyone about Starcraft.

Literally EVERY guy age 14-35 knows what it is. Pretty much no exceptions. About 80% of those ages 16-25 have played it IN THE US.

Just because the South Koreans are insane and crazy over a game that is 10 years old and have TV shows about it doesn't mean that its not "mainstream" here.

It's an American game, not a Korean one.

BTW if this movie does come out, it had better be in English and then have Korean subtitles.

Even redubbing it from Korean would make me not watch it. They had better be speaking in English, and their mouths had better match it!!!!

BTW, how do you tell the story from the Zerg point of view? I don't think regular units talk, so it would just be the heroes, i.e. the Overmind, Kerrigan.

Also, people who don't know Starcraft are going to whine about the name Zerg and its relation to Toy Story.

A movie could be some kind of mega-event but I think it´s way too hard to find a way to make the movie´s script as balanced as the game. Maybe if we get some kind of trilogy. If we follow the game´s storyline, weel, many people who may be starting with starcraft could feel identified with terrans.

To make an impartial movie, I guess terrans can´t be presented first. But if the movie is divided in chapters, the storyline can follow the one in the original game and left open a chance to get the sequels with the new story.

I don´t remember if we have somekind of approach with ehhh, well I don´t remember the name of the movie but It was kind of Human-Space bug war, and those space bugs looked like zergs, at least, some of them. The story line wasn´t too strong but it has some interesting things...

 

Well, films made of games are not always good, but I would go and see it.
