Given the release of Twilight, the third book in the Dark Templar Saga, and the subsequent influx of lore related information, I finally wrote a new article. It's pretty self-explanatory, I included a timeline and answered 21 of the biggest lore related questions. Enjoy http://www.sc2armory.com/forums/topic/8638/page:1
AWESOME! Thanks for that information Roland, it was interesting especially about the Xel'Naga. It brings on a whole different perspective on the Xelies for me. I always thought of them as a race of extreme intellectuals that modify life forms out of pure scientific curiosity. To think the xel'nagas are hybrids of two near perfect life forms themselves who cannot breed and have to make the next generation is an interesting take on them. I like how kerrigan, and characters from the other races also have a hand in the story, makes it feel like everything that's going on has a part in it and nothing was left out. The story has really evolved into something greater, and I think its drawing to a grand conclusion of epic proportions. The sc universe has one of the best stories in video game history. It raises a lot of questions though, like if they were so perfect then how could the overmind with his zerg kill so many of them? That's why I took 'em as a free minded scientific race not really to adept at combat. Also, who the flying festering fetal f*ck is Duran? I wonder if blizzard had this all planned since the beginning of starcraft or if the story of the xel naga progressed even after Starcraft: Brood War ended?
wow, this is a very good article. I really need to get my hands on the books of the last 2 years. the XN cycle sounds very intriguing.
Some of this stuff is wrong. Duran is not working for the Xel'Naga - that was the whole point of the Twilight novel. =/
And another question is why did Ulrezaj need to make some Xel'Naga of his own? I just read the book a few days and i like all 3 of them =] And yea Duran isant working for the Xel'Nage he is working for some one new i think.... But thats just me
