7mins of it. Spoilers What you guys think of the story telling in missions? How about the actual objectives? Fun gameplay; yay, or nay?
I watched it and that has been posted on youtube many times now. I saw it before when soemone else posted it earlier on youtube. Do I like it? Yes it seems to try and fit in with the lore so nice story telling. And it really makes me feel the major NPCs are talking to me the player. Like I am part of the SC universe. Fun? Only if Blizzard don't abuse the gathering type missions where you just gather x amount of y material to win. A couple fo those missions sure but a whole heap of them would be boring. Overall it's nice and I think the main thing ti shows us is SC2 missions will not just be "here is the mission objectives, do them and your done. Objectives will change mid-mission without warning. There will be a lot more NPC interaction during the mission, so you have to watch your armies/base as well as what the NPCs say.
You know I did a search for this in the forums didn't see anything. Then I noticed comments on the video that were 3weeks old. Have I made a duplicate topic? Sorry if so; I'd rather dup SoJs.
Lol the SOJ's. Gotta love Diablo 2. The times where money meant nothing and duped SOJ's was the currency. And nah I don't think you made a dupe dopic. I found it on youtube with me own searching not through a forum topic.
nice... goliaths, scouts, etc. i think SP will do a decent job of explaining the transition from SC1 to SC2.
No offense dude; I've gotten most my SC2 news from you on here....but....if it's old, why didn't you post it? I remember people screaming for the ion cannon in SC1 to be user built and controlled. In multiplayer; I still say nooo. But look at that drill. Awesome in single player and I can't wait to see what map makers do with it. I sorta don't like the general story arc following those damned protoss artifacts. Seems very much like a story that's been told 1000 times before. This is however the first time I learned that Findlay was the one really interested in them. I smell betrayal from him.
I wouldn't worry about collecting some alien artefacts. Blizzard usually takes what's familiar and make it work exceptionally well. It also fits with the story of Xel'Naga to have them spreading gadgets everywhere, so I'm looking forward to see what they do with that theme. I bet no-one can even say who did it first, or the name of the book it's originally in, or that that book is even any good
yeah, easing a person into a story is the best way to go for welcoming a new audience. sure, a lot of us already played SC2, but let's face it, that game came out a decade ago. the grand majority of SC2 players will be completely new to the SC universe. you don't want to toss them straight into the politics and crazy drama between returning heroes and characters.
