StarCraft II Official Site Update: Dark Templar

YAY! Finally some new info for the StarCraft II site! ;D ;D Go check out the Dark Templar!
There are also new screenshots, a new Nuke wallpaper, and a new forum.

I think this should be put up on the front page.

I must say that i really do not like their weapon though...its just too...idk i just dont like it, sorry.

 

It will be on the front page soon enough. I was too fast for them. 8)

And their weapons do look a little odd. I like them better in the gameplay compared to the concept art though.

Lol. Ok, well it's on the front page now. I gave you guys a 15 minute head-start i guess. I love that "action shot" where the DTs kill the probes. The new observer is looking pretty cool also.

 

yea that shot was awsome but the outline for when u can see them when they are cloaked is so...blue???

On a quick sidenote relating to the observers... what's with the opening? It flies over and opens up. New ability, or something it just does when it's sitting there?

 

No news like old news... we've known about the dark templar for a while now.

I like the new dark templar design even though it does look like an elite from halo. The new weapon seems faster and more deadly than an arm blade.

look closely at the short video on the DT page. towards the end of the video, the DT's are detected by an observer. when it stops moving, it opens up. u'll see it

 

opens up in what way

 

As soon as it stops moving (which is why I think it may just be when it stops moving,) the right side of the observer from our perspective opens like a flower.

Another sidenote, there's a different action shot up now, with the DTs killing some Marines and a Viking.

 

the one with the dt murdering the marines is absolutly awsome.

I think the observer thing is just for when it stops moving. I noticed that too.

 

Dark templar in Starcraft 2 is much beter than the Dark Templar in STARCRAFT AND STARCRAFT BROODWAR/.
