    Starcraft, the Board Game​

    The Starcraft Board Game has been announced on Starcraft2.com:

    Supposedly the instruction manual is more than 40 pages and games are estimated to take about 3-4 hours per round. Should be a fun time, though. If you're that obsessed with Starcraft, or want to get your hands on some real
    models of your favorite units, this could be for you.

    Link doesn't work. It told me to construct additional pylons...

    Edit: Nvm, I had it set to the Eu version, switched to us and its fine.

    no view, I'd like to try it, but tabletop games aren't real popular at my house. My kids are way too much into XBox360, Wii, and Runescape.

    I have seen this in stores 3 months ago... This is nothing new... They brought it out before Christmas! I asked the manager at the store about it, because obviously I love SC, and he said he had them in stock for several months.

    It looks like a dark high templar. :p Cool though.

    Notice the huuuuuge Ultralisk in the background! I know it's just artwork, but still...

    Yeah thats not new but it is more information than we previously knew.

    Before it was just. somebody might be making a SC baord game and so far it lt has this. Now we get to see it

    its nothing new but that is it on SC2.com is new and that there's a new video
    i think they put it on SC2.com because they cant sell it :p

    as i see we dont care for the board game, anyway i dont like, this "marketing" Bs to sell anything in the name of stracraft, well we are FANS Blizzard, not Zombies!
    dont become EA and start making KANES dolls for God's name....thats pathetic and hilarious.- :bad:

    nm for me the video was great for ONLY one Perpose, it had Cinematic parts from the Ghost Trailer we Never seen before, and Blizzards cinematics are allways SUPERB! 8)

    for example the part with the marine firing the ultralisk from above, or the dropships landing, then the zerglin rush was about 5-10seconds more than the original starcraft ghost trailer, there were some voices during the attack and dialogs that we never listen to the sghost trailer, and the distraction of the this overmind...tha was really cool, and i hope now that ghost is forever postponed, i hope we will see some of the cutting cinematic footage those talanted people did! ;D

    I don't see why they would wait until Blizzard is developing StarCraft2 to release a board game that includes StarCraft1 units. Unless it's just so that later they can make the StarCraft2 version and make double the money. The game seems kinda crappy to me, but I would like to buy it for the figurines. Not that I will.

    As far as I know they've had this game out for awhile now, I would guess they finally posted it on their site because with all the hype about sc2 everyone remember the first Starcraft and would help boost the sales of the game.

    It was released in October, and StarCraft2 was announced in May.

    There is a Starcraft "table-top" RPG kicking around...I have it, but have never played it lol

    This seems like a ploy to lure in younger players who were never exposed to the original SC...I'll never buy it, but it looks amusing lol
