starcraft 2 terran unit racial portrait.

im talking about the terran unit frame or portrait for starctraft 2.

so do you think like we will have units portrayed and voiced by different races like in starcraft 1?
like the valkerye which i think is european (not sure). the battlecruiser too sounds not from america.

im thinking asian. lol anyway starcraft is HUGE in korea, maybe blizz will give credit to the koreans by letting a korean drive the viking or something. what do you think? but we need a bad@ss korean look or it will be funny.

since japan would be creating mech sooner, why not let a jap techno geek drive the THOR. hahah

how about a black guy driving something? and a new russian chick controling the banshee.

or do you think they will make them all american which is also COOL too since blizzard is from the US. :

any ideas? what are your suggestion on this. 8)

I've always loved the portraits, though they look plastic, and Blizzard is widely know for their unit speech. I think it's safe to say it's gonna rock.

i think the unit portrait looks amazing(cinematic like) and not plastic anymore in starcraft 2(see the zealot in demo). yah its gonna rock.

so let there be jap geek inside a thor and a jap robotic voice accent for the thor. ^^

edit: wait if thor is made by scv, so is it robotic and no ones controlling it? anyway if there is, it should be jap. hahah. jk.

 

I say the Battle cruiser and Siege tank keep their same portrait/voice cause they were badass.

the Cobra should have a Korean biker dude because that would be sick. :afro:

 

lets give the korean something not authoritative and expensive(this are for the americans) but something that is small and agile. wow! nice thinking, koreans looks good in bikes. lol

im thinking about the korean guy in james bond movie die another day, the one with the crystal pieces stuck on his head. he looks COOL for the terran cobra.

 

Na dude. Russian. Brit agents are suave and sexy. Russians are the epitome of nuclear death.

 

Valkyries were german. Thats why they say acctung and javohl. BCs were russian I think. Dont make any korean unit, koreans are not stereotyped soldiers as americans, russians and germans are.

 

but we should not base it on todays military setting. in starcraft universe UED (UNITED EARTH DEFENSE) and the terran dominion, i think there are no more different racial civilization and the military are compose of different but combined races. so every soldier is stereotyped in starcraft which also include asian or indian or arab marines etc. lol

or they could be just like extras or something (terran civilians). ^^

I'd love a korean portrait. I'm sure Blizzard could be considering this as well, seeing as Korea's their biggest market. A Cobra would be the most "fitting" one. Asians are stereotypically small and fast.

anyway yes cobra is the best unit for the korean. they will be surely happy about this and the market sale of starcraft 2 in korea will be 10x that of the original.

For Ghosts....if we have female Ghosts, they should be British, if its just male ghosts, I say American/Russian/Israeli

The Battlecruiser should stay Russian....japanese dude driving Thor would make me chuckle or better yet, the voice of Optimus Prime!! Viking should be driven b y a German like the Valks.

I want a Scotsman driving something though...hopefully the Banshee!!

black dude in a tank? nah, i like the orignal guy. someone who looks like tychus or arnold. a mexican scvs!

how about black guys in scvs?.. ^^ or a smart black guy with eye glasses in a science vessel.

im thinking of having 2 portraits for some units like marine and cobras etc. with different voice and speeches. like a korean (male and female) for cobras. that would be something. anyway the portrait of cobras should be a good looking mysterious cool laid back kinda guy. (<-or ghost) ^^

 

Man, I'd love to see a James Bond-ish guy as a ghost.

 

would be awesome that for some units they would have male and female versions, and they would come out randomly, because i would like to see the old ghost come back and i also would like to have Nova-type ghost...
