I was just going through the internet looking for the system requirements to make sure that I will be able to play the game when I buy it. Several websites said these things:
Minimum System Requirements for Starcraft 2
    Memory: 512 MB RAM
Graphics card: 128 MB RAM video card capable of Hardware TnL. DX10 is not required, but will be supported by SC2 and Blizzard are considering adding DX10 specific effects.
    Pixel Shader 2.0 (Officially Confirmed)
    Soundcard: A DirectX-compatible 16-bit sound card.
Multiplayer games played over a LAN require an active connection to a TCP/IP network.

    And the second one said:

    Minumum Requirements
GFX: GeForce 7/8 Series or Radeon 1000/2000 with 256 MB RAM
    CPU: Pentium 4
    RAM: 1 GB
    Internet: ADSL 1 Mbit

    Recommended Requirements
GFX: GeForce 8000 or Radeon 2000 series with 512 MB RAM
CPU: Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2.
    RAM: 2 GB
    Internet: ADSL 3 Mbit

    Optimal Requirements
GFX: Geforce 9000er or Radeon 3000er Series
CPU: Core 2 Duo 3 GHz or Athlon X2
    RAM: 2GB with DualChannel mode

Is there any confirmation to this, because I don't have 2.0 pixel shader as the first one says and neither do I have 1gb of ram, though I could get it, but would not prefer to. I have Radeon 9200 and 512 Ram.
If you could confirm that these specs are right, so that I can at least start preparing for
    Starcraft 2 to be released.

Blizzard hasn't come out and announced what the requirements are, so far all system requirements that can be found are just guesses by ordinary people.

Any website that says the game needs a 1mbit+ internet connection completely loses their credibility in my eyes.

The very first version in the OP sounds the most reasonable.

I have an 8800GTS 640MB vid card, 2GB DDR2-675 RAM and a Core 2 Duo E6600. It's nice but is definitely starting to age a bit... I just hope the requirements for SC2 aren't too high. I'll be buying a new comp this summer but I might need a laptop in which case a gaming machine would be costly...

I'm sure we'll here from them closer to release- possibly around the time of the beta.

Ok, thanks. That helps a lot. I was already getting worried that i wouldn't be able to play without upgrading my computer.
